Great non casino hotel in the heart of downtown Reno.

Clean, attractive quiet hotel with very comfortable rooms and friendly staff. We had our dog with us and they were very accommodating and kind. There is a mini dog park on the next block so you don’t have far to go to potty your dog. It was quiet

No wine glasses or cork screw. Housekeeping came by at 7am for cleaning and left notes daily due to Privacy sign on door, which disturbed my dog and woke us. Couldn't pay in cash, even when told we can pay at the hotel - apparently only by card.

It was clean, comfortable, and the breakfast was good

The pet fee was $85 and not advertised on booking.com. When I said it was too much and wanted to cancel, they were going to charge me for the night anyway, which forced me to pay the fee and stay. The lady at the front desk was very rude.

It was wonderful and just what I was looking for.

I enjoyed the touches of Reno in the wallpapers in the room and bathroom. I enjoyed the pillows and bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was clean and inviting. I liked that the gift shop had protein that I could purchase to eat because I had to begin working before the kitchen opened up for dinner service. Having to scan your room key in the elevators helped me feel more safe overall.

I liked everything, just a couple things that could have been more helpful was having more outlets so I could plug in electronics for work and the lighting at least by the bed to be warm colored and not bright cool light would have been nice at the end of the night. Those are just small things that personally I remembered, but everything else was great.

It was a fine property but there was a "Street Vibrations " weekend going on that severely affected our rest and sleep.

We were not informed of the Street Vibrations weekend. It was so loud and went on past 3:00 a.m.

Excellent located modern hotel with spacious clean rooms.

The hotel was modern, clean and in an excellent location in the centre of Reno. We liked the large room, decoration, super king bed, large walk in shower and Keruig Coffee maker. We used the valet parking and they were very quick.

Better signage to the bar. We didn’t find it and weren’t sure that there was one.

It has a mini refrigerator and it didn’t have a microwave in the room but when I checked out the very nice lady at the desk told me that I could’ve just called the front desk and they would’ve brought the microwave to our room. So now I know for next time.

High quality at a reasonable price without the casino ambience.

As non-gamblers passing through, we found this an excellent choice: comfy, clean, close to freeway access. Restaurant is a bit pricey, but you can walk across the street to the giant Eldorado for multiple choices. Hotels in Reno used to offer cheap rooms and food, figuring you'd spend on gambling, but that is no longer the case. You need to spend more to get a good room, and the Whitney offers high quality rooms for a reasonable price.

Rooms were clean and spacious, and the air in the common areas smelled clean unlike the adjacent casinos, which was stale and smoky.

Request for adjacent rooms was quickly dismissed, no attempt to find any close together until pressed.

Impressive room size, beautiful decor, and great location. The fact that it was non-smoking and not connected to a casino was a major plus. Quiet stay.

Staff was extremely informative and helpful even after my stay was over. I came back a week after my stay looking for something I left in the room and the staff actually ended up finding my missing item the same night they went above and beyond from the staff at front desk During check in to my return conversation with front desk staff as well as security

I wanted to self park my car, but the streets were blocked off for an event, so I had to valet my car. The valet guys were all really great and helpful, but I didn’t expect to spend more money just to park my car. The AC was difficult and never seemed to cool down the room enough. It was stuck on 75-79, which was too warm for a 96 degree day.

The view was cool i guess

Just about everything. 1 night cost $400 for a family and dog. our shower didn't work and after driving for 11 hours and unpacking the kids and dog i was ready for a hot shower, unfortunately the shower was leaking horribly, they offered to switch us to other room ( which they didn't even have so idk why they offered) we declined because again tired. wish they could of waived the dog fee or some sort of fees from our stay instead they gave us complimentary breakfast cards which we didn't use because we ordered dinner the night before and for the price it tasted awful. I ended up throwing mine away. also didn't like that there was an event going on and the road to our hotel was slightly blocked off so we drove in circles and then was told we had to pay for valet due to the event or go all the way around. this hotel wasn't for us and we wont be booking again.

Quieter than casino hotels, low key ambiance and staff, staff not rude or so money oriented as others, very helpful,

$20 daily for valet was a ripoff ... 2 moves over 4 days ... they only had to park my car once (at initial check in) and bring it to the door on the day I checked out .... Lot was open ground lot with no security ... Also toilet paper was very thin lol

Memorable, in a bad way

The restaurant was nice; good food, good portions

We arrived by train, with lots of luggage, five hours before check-in. The first thing the woman at the desk told us was we could not check in before 3… even though the hotel was nearly empty. Then she asked if we were okay being in a pet room; we said no, and then she told us she couldn’t move us to another. On another note, this is a basically nice, modern hotel in the midst of a horrible neighborhood. Shuttered businesses and cheap shoddy casinos surround it. Homeless people everywhere. A horrible place. We stayed in Reno because it seemed a good stop along our cross-country train ride — next time we’ll stay on the train until Truckee. Reno is a pit.

Wonderful stay at the Whitney Peaks Hilton

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hostess, Chloe, in the restaurant was awesome. The beds are so comfortable and the room was cleaned and supplied every day.

The walk around the outside of the building has quite a few homeless people that are begging and can make a single female feel unsafe.

N Virginia street can get really noisy with revving motorcycles and loud music from vehicles. We were on the 11th floor and could hear it. Not enough night time snack for a late night sweet tooth. The mattresses need to be updated. They were very noisy and seemed worn.

Worried for our safety.

Incredibly loud music outside of the room, sirens, cars drag racing, police and ambulances in hotel. Didn’t sleep at all. The room was gross. Long hairs everywhere in the bathroom and smells.
