Nice hotel

Staff could be better, often had to wait to check in or out. Staff would often disappear for long periods of time leaving people at the counter with no help.

“You get what you pay for” - lesson learned.☹️

Convenient location. Offered free bottles of water in lobby.

Red splotches of liquid/jelly/?? on the desk in our room upon arrival. Ants in the shower. Wall A/C unit that didn’t work well, plus faced the side of the desk instead of blowing into room. Thin walls/could hear neighbors’ conversations and coughing. Smelled marijuana from outside blowing in through AC! Did not have housekeeping. Will never stay here again.

The staff was very friendly. I had an issue with being charged twice and they were very understanding and fixed the issue right away. Breakfast was good, but needed more, in my opinion

The room door did not have the security bar, looked like maybe they had to break into the room at some point. You could see where it had been removed but not replaced. The deadbolt didn't really feel safe. The air conditioner needed vents you could position to blow air upward. It was cold but only blew directly on the side of the bed. You could feel the moisture on the sheets.

Room smelled brand new, everything was clean, breakfast was good for a hotel only negative I can say is shower pressure could be better but having 2 kids with me everything was perfect!

Dirty and ants, poor ac, but great breakfast and friendly and helpful staff

Staff was pleasant and helpful. Tried to fix the situation, but didn't seem to have very much they could do to fix it. Breakfast was really good. Biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, grits, fruit, waffle maker was clean and worked well, etc. They worked hard to keep everything stocked. Breakfast was so good and filling that we were able to save money by skipping lunches each day. On the weekends, breakfast went until 10:30. And we were able to put something on TV the kids enjoyed. We also liked that the pool was shallow for the kids. They always had cookies and water available in the lobby, although I wish they hadn't put food coloring in the water. We kept thinking it was Lemonade, but it wasn't. The location was great. We were really close to the island and other things we wanted to do. I did smell pot in the hallways and the same people were hanging around the front the whole time we were there literally day and night and we were coming in pretty late, around midnight. However, I didn't feel unsafe and the staff were usually pretty close by and were socializing with the people outside, so I think they had a good handle on the situation.

First room had lots of ants that were swarming my daughter's shoes and were in the bathroom. Pee soaked mattress and whole room smelled like poop. Poop smears on wall and light switch. They did move us to a different room, but it really was too small for all of us and ac didn't work well at all. I was glad the stay was only 2 nights because I couldn't sleep well and don't think I could have made it work for longer than that. Hallway was also hot. Tvs also didn't work in second room, which upset the kids more than us, but again, would have been a bigger deal if we'd stayed longer. It was also impossible to reach the front desk by phone and sometimes it took the desk worker a while to show up. We would not stay here again.

The experience was wonderful. Me and my spouse stayed there for our 30th anniversary. When we entered our room the staff had decorated our room with a banner and balloons and even had a little care package with a card. We were so surprised. It was a very sweet arrival.
