It was extremely clean and welcoming with the aloha feeling.

I liked the vibe. We are timeshare owners to the next door location but they require a two day minimum we were in town for 1 night. This was our first time visiting and we will definitely be back!

The pillows were my only complaint. The bed was a little firmer than I like but I understand that. However the pillows in my room seemed as though they were way littler than the bed size. The aspect ratio just seemed a little off. Maybe my husband stole the good pillows and left me the decorative ones. :)

Worth the stay!

The property is amazing! Location couldn’t be better, just across the beach in a quiet neighborhood. The common areas are beautiful, from fire pits to swimming pool, everything is great. The rooms are spacious and clean.

Too pricey for what you actually get.

The staff were nice people. Close to beach and Legoland (15-20min Dr). The shower and in-room hot tub was great but hot water didn’t work half the time.

Hot water was out in the morning and wasn’t addressed. Roaches appeared multiple times. The property is a renovated motel upselling as luxury.

The proximity to the beach was amazing. Also, the actual hotel is so pretty. So much greenery around and it made it pretty.

Too much light coming into the room at night. The outside lights are too bright at night. A simple solution would be a blackout shade to pull down.

Great off season deal and perfect weekend beach getaway!

This is the perfect location for a beach getaway! The beach is steps from the hotel and they provide towels, chairs, etc. The hotel itself feel like you are in Hawaii with the lush landscaping and decor. This was a wonderful place and we will definitely come back.

The only problem was our smoke alarm went off and the staff had to come back twice to fix it. They were super friendly and apologetic and it was not a huge deal.

Window on Main Street street level Unable to have natural light in the room. The blind was not acceptable. It should have been a lover shade that could be adjusted accordingly. No hair dryer in room No closet TV hard to program, or figure how to get local channels I ended up using my phone. It was very slow to react to changes of channels

Loved it , will be back

What a cute perfect property and just a min walk to the beach it’s beautiful it’s was perfect for my work stay and my family stayed and enjoyed the stay very much , love the Hawaii theme and that Thers no one above you and I little kitchen, we had all we needed. ,

One thing I recommend is bring you own pillows that’s the one thing we all wished we done , and extra blankets for those of you who get cold ,

The ocean view room was beautiful. Loved the sound of the waves at night and the ocean breeze. Watching people laughing, as they went down to the beach was so enjoyable. Breathtaking sunsets from our balcony. The grounds were so pretty and we love the pool and jacuzzi. We met so many people.

We loved it all. I would maybe suggest a hook on the back of the bathroom door probably.

It is close to the beach which is essentially what we pay for.

Quite frankly, the cleanness needs major work. Found dirt, sand, and hair on beds, showers, and couches. Not really worthy of the price charged.

Not worth the price

We loved the landscaping and grounds. The proximity to downtown and shops is perfect. The beach is also steps from the resort.

The AC is terrible. Didn't reach the bedrooms. The fan in the bathroom sounded like a plane landing. The parking is atrocious. Had to circle the block numerous times to find a spot. A guest threw up in the pool so we were unable to use it. When addressing the situation with the front desk we were treated like we were the ones who threw up in the pool. RUDE FRONT DESK!

Staycation

Great location and tropical landscaping. Room had most things you need except bottled water, a microwave or creamers for coffee in-room, however all were in the lobby/guest ‘canteen’ which was conveniently near our room. I was surprised to find there was a heated pool and hot tub, as our goal was beach time, riding bikes, and dining out in Carlsbad. The patio area with lots of seating and evening fire pits is nice too.

Such a cute place but it’s a super noisy building with very thin walls/ceilings. It’s not that the streets are loud, it’s other guests just doing basic things and we were by the interior parking area. I sleep in earplugs and with closed windows. Even so, other guests start making tons of noise and banging around from 5am onward, someone literally banging on our ceiling on Sunday morning, maybe a kid with a hammer? Non-stop barking dog for 2 hours on Sat morning 7-9am. We got a dogsitter and left our dog at home. I’d never inconvenience an entire hotel to avoid paying a petsitter just to leave it barking when I went for breakfast. Bed mattress wasn’t as plush/pillowtop as most hotels. All in all, though, we had a lovely staycation, enjoyed the heated pool, and continental breakfast.

Location- next to the beach and a short walk to the shops/ restaurants. Room- exceptionally clean and comfortable. Hotel grounds are well looked after. Staff- all polite and friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel.

This resort was perfect for my family and in a great location.

The location of this resort is absolutely perfect! It is close to the beach and great walking distance to Carlsbad Village. The “Luxury Mini Suite” was perfect for my family of 4. We did not eat in the suite but it did a have a small variety of cookware so you could if you wanted. The breakfast bars, fruit, and juices provided every morning were great. We also really enjoyed the coffee! Although we did not use this, it was nice knowing they had beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys you could use for the day. We did take advantage of the beach towels though. Overall this resort was perfect for my family. We definitely hope to be back.

Warm, bright and comfortable stopover in Carlsbad.

Attractive, clean, cozy property with friendly staff, in the perfect location right across from the ocean. The freshly ground coffee & continental breakfast added a nice touch. The hotel was able to accommodate our early check-in request and the bed was very comfortable. There is no onsite restaurant but it’s walking distance to everything in Carlsbad village.

The A/C was quite loud. Also some kids nearby were yelling and stomping around outside, but what can ya do, it is a popular family vacation area.

Ideal location to beach and town. Super great staff. "Family Feel" within the resort with staff and other guests. Will definitely be back!
