Lovely relaxing stay in a beautiful location.

Loved our four-night stay for a long- awaited family celebration. It was our first time to visit the area, and Carlsbad is a lovely town, in addition to the Beach Terrace Inn! Room and bed were very comfortable plus the ocean view was wonderful. Staff was very accommodating, especially Andrea at the front desk. The continental breakfast was delicious and imaginative. We felt quite welcome and are already hoping to return.

Beautiful location directly fronting the beach and close to the restaurants and shops of Carlsbad.

I stayed in a room with a balcony directly on the beach. The bed was very comfortable. Excellent in-room coffee. Nice bathroom facilities. Everything was first class. Very close to the restaurants and shops of Carlsbad.

Breakfast was only adequate. Some interesting cold options and pastries but rather minimal. No warm food.

It was nice and quiet and a perfect for our 20th anniversary.

Clean, close to the ocean. You could sit at different parts of the property and still see the ocean. With in walking distance to downtown. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I was able to charge my Tesla. The bed was so comfortable.

Excellent beach front stay!

We loved the beach amenities and took advantage of the beach chairs, sand toys and boogie boards! The light breakfast was perfect and the kids loved the pool and fire pits, we will definitely stay again!

We didn't get an ocean view but didn't pay for it so that's fine. Overall great stay.

The fabulous customer service offered, the location was on the sand of the beach. Very welcoming environment, great food & shops within walking distance. Love our stay here. The sound of the ocean can definitely be heard in the rooms, it was exactly what we were looking for our weekend. First stay in Carlsbad, did not disappoint.

Amazing!!!! We had the ocean front room and it was the best

We loved the pastries and spa water. We loved the comfy beds, large rooms, bikes, the beach chairs and umbrella provided, we loved the fire pits. We would have like to have the fire pits on the early morning to enjoy coffee by the pool. We loved the heated pool!

We could also hear the person above us up at 4:30AM walking around for an hour. We did not like being woken up at that early. We could also hear the rooms music from the room next to ours.

price of extra day as original was for 3 day with discount and we had to cancel one night due to weather alert …. high tides winds roads etc … and then added one night as weather was changed .. they did not offer my original deal … just would have been nice as we have no control on severe weather issues ..

Perfect Carlsbad Accommodations

The location was perfect and the accommodations were really lovely. The décor was very much beach life and comfy. Upscale enough that I enjoyed the look and feel, but not so much that it's intimidating or sterile. All in all, I will be back again and again.

I didn't like the thick fog that descended in North San Diego County while we were driving to Carlsbad. BUT, while at Beach Terrace, the fog added to the ambiance.

We had an amazing time. The room was large, well decorated, with a killer view. We had plans to head down to the Zoo, maybe up to The Getty, but after our first visit to the beach we never left except for dinner. They will set up beach chairs and umbrellas for you.
