Nothing wrong about property but I just got a bad 2 nights because I was next to the room 108 and they been talking and make some noise.I went out to the front desk at 12:30am to let them know that me and my son can’t sleep because of noise. The lady at front desk said she will do something. I’m decided to come back and wait after 30 mins later still nothing. The person in room 108 still talking and laughing, I decided to calling the front desk again and I heard the phone at room 108 ringing after they hang up the phone the noise was quiet in the next 20 mins.

Pros: Great location. It was across the street from the beach/beach access and also one block over from the Carlsbad village. Very convenient. The area feels safe generally and there are a lot of great restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast is pretty good for free hotel breakfast standard. A nice variety of options and a waffle maker so make fresh waffles. I particular liked that the dining area is spacious and there isn't a crazy long line for breakfast (we were here in mid-Feb). The staff is very nice. The hotel is clean. We had no problem with find a parking spot in the underground parking garage. We had a room with 2 double beds on the first floor. It was relatively quiet. Occasionally we heard people talking right outside our door but it's not frequent and not outside of what you would reasonably expect.

Cons: The room was smaller than I expected. It was in a long rectangular shape. Our room looks out to the very tiny swimming pool so we had to draw the curtain close the whole time for privacy. I'd imagine it be much nosier in the summer time when more guests use the pool. When I booked, it says 2 queen beds but I think they are more full size beds. The biggest complaint I have is that the bathroom uses a barn door with an opaque glass. Never mind the fact that you cannot lock the door and lacks privacy, the biggest issue is that light can come through the opaque glass. So if we want to use the bathroom when my kids are sleeping, we had to do it in the dark or wake everyone else up with the light (the light is very bright and not adjustable). I didn't like the barn door but I could understand it was for space-saving purpose, but it would be better if they can change out the type of barn door to minimize the light coming through.

Highly recommend!

Great location virtually on the beach in the village of Carlsbad. Excellent amenities. Walk around the village for a little shopping. Cute boutiques close by! Priced well. Queen suites slightly larger than kings. Staff are all kind. And restaurant attached to the hotel. Includes breakfast near the lobby. Would stay again!

Need extra coffee in the room. If the view matters make sure you ask for one otherwise 50/50 shot.

Location

Well, when I booked my room online, I paid for an "upper floor with an ocean view," but when I got there they gave me a ground floor room at the back of the property with no view at all. When I complained, the staff shrugged me off and did nothing to help fix the issue. They didn't care that I PAID FOR the superior room. They ripped me off! That really sucks!

Best trip ever!

The breakfast was great, I just can’t say enough good things about this hotel and the staff here!! It was excellent I traveled there for a wedding so there were quite a few of us staying at the hotel. It was one of the best trips ever. Thanks so much to all the staff.

Nothing other than maybe a seat to use outside while smoking, there was a ashtray so a seat would have been nice.

Location is near the beach and the village. Excellent for walking

Sofa bed/trundle terribly uncomfortable and hard. Thin mattress. Breakfast passable but not great. Over $600 a night on the weekend not a good value for a Room facing the parking garage and noisy upstairs guests. Paid less at Grand Hyatt at Seaside Village with a view and 2 comfortable beds.

The location is convenient to get to Legoland, walk to a public beach access point, and close to many restaurants and shopping. The rooms are large and have a refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast is a standard continental breakfast with reasonable options.

The bathroom door does not lock and is not soundproof. The room key is required to get out of the parking garage, even after checkout. This seems like a safety hazard. While breakfast starts pretty early, it also ends pretty early.

I had an issue with noise and did not sleep one night. They moved me the next day but only compensated by taking off two days of parking. I lost a night and half a day because I needed to sleep.

Had a great time staying at this property. Great location with it being just steps from the beach and plenty of shops and dining options in Carlsbad Village. Rooms were clean and spacious.

Pillows are pretty flat. The bathroom door is just glazed glass so you blast anyone trying to sleep with bright lights when you turn the bathroom light on at night
