I liked the vending machines
Room wasn’t quite clean, my room was next to an exit people coming and in and out slamming doors. The staff had an attitude. There was a man opening doors to open not sure I doubt he was a customer had his belongings on him. Overall bed was hard too I wouldn’t recommend honestly.

Nothing the room was dirty and the shower was broken, they told me i had 10 mins to check the room out and see was it okay i did but later i discovered the shower was broken so i went to a friend house to shower
the hallways was dirty and smelled bad the room was okay but the shower did not work. The front entrance smelled perfect so i thought the whole hotel would but it did not.

Waiting a week for them to put my deposit of $100 that they do not tell you aboutwhe booking rooms. Won't let you take any break fast to your room yet you can getfod. Brought there and take it to your room.

I got a call after making the reservation that there wouldn't be any hot water and still am waiting for motel 6 to resolve on their end after being told they would cancel it and to do my part on booking.com. I've been waiting 2+ days. I don't see why people who ran into this type of occurrence shouldn't be treated fairly. It's the coldest time of the year and I refused to stay in a room without hot water. If it had been in the details, I would have never made the reservation. Had a similar issue with another hotel in merrillville and they resolved it swiftly . I'm not sure why I should be forced to take cold showers in negative degree weather or sacrifice my refund to not have to go through that.

The bed was clean and comfortable. I really liked the layout of the room and the heat was very easy to set at a comfortable setting without a lot of adjustment.
There was something wrong with the door latch or the door was catching on the door frame because it was very hard to get open without really shoving down on the handle and pushing hard on the door.

After looking at the room, the room was dirty. Paint was peeling from the walls. There was a hole in the wall next to the bed. There were dirty Q-tips on the boxspring or frame of the bed. The entire room was nasty as well as the common areas. Room was not cleaned but one time in the four nights I stayed there.

The beds were comfortable, the room was ok thr refrigerator has frost across the back so it didn't get too cold. But it worked.
There was food on the walls a dirty towels thrown on the shelf. The toilet kept running the sink leaked when trying to wash hands.there wasn't very much water pressure in the shower

I liked how quiet it was.
I did not like that they evicted me for no reason. All I asked was that the maid to stop nit picking with me. I reported the harassment and the discrimination that was being done against me. I am a black, disabled, single female. I noticed that customers that were Caucasian weren’t treated the same way. I was not able to rest, not the way I needed to. When I asked the manager why I had to leave she could not answer the question. She hung up on me when I asked. I had to call customer relations to report what was happening. I also believe management was retaliating against me, and also looking for a reason not to return the security deposit despite the app that I booked with guaranteed that the $60 security deposit be returned. I voice recorded a majority of what happened. There was pet fur all over me, all over my belongings. I took pictures showing how filthy the floor was, my socks were covered with dirt and animal fur. I did not bring any animals and I took pics of the room, showing the room was left as clean as possible. It isn’t right that the staff be rewarded for treating disabled customers this was.

I liked the property. It was clean on the outside. Some staff, not all, were friendly.
I feel they should do a better job of cleaning. There was pet hair everywhere. My microwave had to be replaced because it was filthy and needed a plate. The new microwave was dirty, the inside roof of the microwave was filthy, with old, stuck on food. I did see a couple of roaches. A staff member lied to the manager as I was trying to get my finances together to extend my stay. Another, a housekeeper, was very rude, and nasty because I sat a trash bag in the hallway. I thought this was their practice. She was nasty, opening my door without my permission knowing I was inside and it was well after checking times. I did bring this issue to the manager and found out that if requested, the housekeepers are supposed to take the trash in the first place, so I didn’t understand why the housekeeper behaved the way that she did. The manager was professional and addressed the situation. Later, I saw the same housekeeper again and her attitude and willingness to be helpful to an me, an African American, disabled female had improved drastically.

The cleanliness of the motel and the friendliness of the staff. It sets the tone for a good business. Friendly staff equals friendly customers. I love how peaceful it is as well. The only thing that kind of bothered me was the animal fur. I love animals! I miss having a pet, I def would have brought one with me if I had one, I do not at the moment. I learned how to keep my animals from shedding so much. I know there are ppl that don’t know how to do this. Not angry about it, I know it can be hard. That’s the only thing that I hope the motel doesn’t take offense to. Other than that, the stay has been great.
Just the animal fur. It wasn’t a lot of it, I can tell the motel is working on how to improve that.

U can hear people through the doors and my tub was gross chip pant someone left a cup from food place by tub plus my door didn’t lock properly I had put chair to door feel safe I couldn’t shower the towels were dirty

For one the service was terrible, our first room had a dead roach in the refrigerator plus had sheets ith pee stains on them, The man at the service desk switched our room and my friend was bitten by bed bug.. The staff didn't want to supply towels when asked, key cards kept going out had to keep getting a new one.. Overall if could give zero stars would..

Room 140 smelled with an unpleasant scent told the clerk he say he will let housekeeping know. Towels were not a pretty sight especially if I want to put them in my face very dirty look.

The tv, microwave and refrigerator were nice.
The bathroom and bathtub are not at all like the pictures. The tub is flaking and felt like you were standing on flimsy plastic. And there was hardly enough water pressure to even shower. There was still food in the microwave from the people before me and the mini coffee maker lid almost melted because the boiling water wouldn’t flow to brew the coffee. The floors were nasty, the towels still felt dirty and the bed was hard and lumpy. Doors were slamming all night and the key cards barely worked. Also one of the shelves on the wall was ready to fall because it looked like the screws were just pushed into the drywall.

Housekeeping never cleaned my room in 3 Weeks. I had to ask for towels, sheets, blankets, broom, toilette paper, soap etc. Vending machine is very expensive. I paid for my room daily and consecutive days at a time. They gave me a notice to leave 1 day earlier than the documents stated. I understand rules, but they should to be implemented correctly and accurately. It felt like they were rushing me out of the room. However there was no rush to clean and restock the room. I took out my own garbage daily and asked for bags as well. The ladies on the staff were professional, the men were inattentive and at times unwelcoming. I went to the dollar store to clean and disinfect the room on my own. So I wasn't as uncomfortable as I could've been. As stated earlier, Motel 6 in Merrilliville has a rule that only allows a customer to stay 21 days, then they must wait a month to rebook. Doesn't seem like a great business model in my opinion. Some hotels have weekly and monthly rates. if they paid this much attention to hospitality. If they knew I needed to be out in 21 days on day 20, they should've known I needed new towels, cleaning as well as other hospitality needs for the duration of my stay.
