Actually there was no key at the unit so we had to go to the front desk. Luckily the owner also owned other units and there was one that was empty. The front desk receptionist was able to provide a different key for a different unit.
There was no key available for the original unit and time was spent waiting to find out what the solution would be.

The location was great and the grounds were beautiful.
The air conditioner made noise and blew air, but it was warmer than the air outside. The filter was disgusting (see pics) but cleaning it didn't help.
The bed felt like plywood on top of weak springs.
The hot tub had so much chlorine in it that it made our skin burn as soon as the water touched us. The pool was fine.
Getting into the room in the first place was ridiculous. We had to wait for a receptionist for ages to receive a code to a very fiddly/hard to open lockbox to get a key to open the door... And there is a keypad right there that they could just provide a code by email to each renter.
The last straw was a threat to charge us if we didn't wash and dry the dishes...and there weren't supplies available to do so.
