This place is a diamond in the rough. It just needs further renovations to really make it shine

We have stayed at this site several times over the years. The property is very large with two pools and a restaurant/bar onsite. It has changed hands several times and it needs further renovations, especially in the bathrooms, and the corridor carpeting in some wings should be replaced. This time, we first stayed in room 323, which is very spacious, and the water temperature and pressure are great. We then moved to room 317 (we had back to back reservations). This room is an ADA room with a roll in shower, an amenity we did not need even though both my husband and I have mobility issues. There is FAR less storage space in this room; the water pressure and temperature were continually unsatisfactory during our stay, despite the owner's attempts to fix it. Jay's Bar 2 is great! The front desk staff and housekeeping were both great!

Please see above. Plus, I did not like the baked eggs at breakfast.

First they gave us a room with a queen bed when we booked a king suite. Called the front desk and the lady said well on my end that room has a king bed, not a queen. I asked if she wanted to come up to the room and look for herself. So then they moved us to another room. They had someone come up and help with the luggage and they took us to a room not secure from the outside and they didn't give us keys to the room so we had to walk back down to the front desk if we wanted keys. The room smelled like smoke and the tv didn't work at all. We decided to just go to the front desk and tell them we wouldn't be staying there. No apologies from the front desk, no asking to set us up with a room we orginally booked for. Nothing. Won't be coming back.

Showed up for a booking I made 6 months ago and they didn’t have my reservation. Not sure if it was booking.com’s fault or if they “lost” my reservation because I paid 1/4 of the going rate for a room that night since I booked so early. Beware, if you are coming on a night where the town is booked up!

It’s a functional place to stay if you’re in town for a ND event and don’t want to sell a vital organ for a room.

Close enough to Notre Dame for an affordable ride share. It was a comfortable enough room after a ND event.

Facilities are older but you can tell updates are being attempted. Hotel itself is definitely dated and maze-like.

Other than the bathroom it seemed like a nice hotel.

The front desk clerk was very helpful and accommodating. We needed a 1st floor room because of my husband's mobility issues. She was able to find us one even though you were fully booked.

The bathroom needed some updates. There was rust in the toilet because the toilet ran constantly, also the tub needed some improvements because of age and there were no grab bars in the shower.

Disappointing

The location, cleanliness, and look of the hotel were leas than what I expected. Mattress and linens ere dirty, hallway had a funny smell, and breakfast was subpar. Staff was very friendly, however, when I requested to have my rate reduced (military discount couldn't be used because of booking on line). I paid full price but will not be using this hotel again. I need to travel to South Bend monthly, but next time, will choose another hotel.

It was clean and mostly quiet.

This hotel should not be in the category of “pet friendly”; they charged me $50 for each cat AND a $100 deposit for 1 night. If I had known this before, I would have found somewhere else. And their ice maker didn’t work.

Good value, good location excellent hotel

The young lady working the death last night was absolutely fabulous. The food in the restaurant was good. The room was immaculate. It was very comfortable and I enjoyed it.

The only complaint I have is that I travel with my dog and I did notice you guys have specific room set aside for Pat but you also put the Pat people with your smokers and so you you congregate, pats and smokers in the same area and as a former smoker myselfI don’t like being around smokers anymore than a non-smoker does

Quiet and a good location. The girl who checked us in on Wednesday night was very nice and is a credit to your team. In fact, all the employees I came in contact with were pleasant.

1. Upon arrival at the room, the phone was missing the cord connecting the phone to the phone jack. 2. The TV remote was very limited in range because the wooden frame around the TV covered up the control. 3. The clock indicated the wrong time with no way to correct it. 4. On Thursday and Saturday, the room wasn’t cleaned. 5. On Saturday morning there was no hot water. 6. The price was ridiculous due to it being a football weekend.

Lexi at the front desk was super friendly and accommodating -It was quiet and room we were transferred to was large and comfortable.

Breakfast staff could definitely be improved…needed a ticket to eat, so was not given one at check in, had to go to front desk to get one before going to another area to eat…food was cold. If I pay for a room, I shouldn’t need a ticket! Unheard of and never had this occur elsewhere
