It was great but sleeping was difficult.

Nice up to date hotel , breakfast was pretty good and the help were great.

The beds were uncomfortable and worn out. I had to change rooms because it was so uncomfortable. They had a room with newer beds , it was better , but still uncomfortable. The hotel looks like it is quality everywhere, most importantly the bed. It must be the cheapest one on the market. Because it was miserable.

I always book a hotel with breakfast - saves time when going about activities for the day.

We could start the day right with the buffet breakfast - loved the bacon (although served only 1 day)! Staff continuously cleaning the tables & checking availability of items on the breakfast table.

Good stay overall but the poor checkout experience and lack of assistance left a negative impression

My stay at the hotel was overall fine. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast was good.

I was disappointed with the staff behavior during checkout. The receptionist refused to assist with my luggage and didn’t allow me to request help from housekeeping. In addition, the main entrance was closed for maintenance, and I had to carry all my belongings through the emergency exit without any support.

Quick and efficient. Right next to the location I was there for training.

Breakfast was perfect and had all the protein I needed to start the day. Room was upgraded at no additional cost. I forgot my toothpaste and they had packets available. Simple request that was appreciated more than anything.

What I love about the Fairfield Inn, first and foremost. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and it was hot every morning and it fills you up to help start the day. Next, the rooms were magnificent and the beds were so comfortable and cozy. I didn’t wanna leave the bed or the hotel. Finally, the staff were very friendly and professional and helpful. I have stayed at Fairfield a handful of times and each time it was better than the last

Convenient hotel close to Chicago.

This hotel is clean and quiet. Service in the room is once in two days. They have good hot breakfast (meat patties or becon, omelette, hot oatmeal with add-ons like raisins, cereals, milk, waffles, yogurts, muffins, tea, juices and fresh fruits, surprisingly decent coffee). Tea/coffee station is 24H so no need to make coffee in the room. Hotel has small pool (water is on warmer side) and hog tub with decent jets (towels are provided). That was actually highlight of our stay to get into hot tub after long day of sightseeing. There is fitness room with equipment that is in good shape. Chicago is reachable by car and we went there on Sunday when parking was free. On weekdays we drove to 54th/Cermak metro stop, parked there ($2) and went to the downtown on metro as we bought 7day metro pass ($25 each). There is plenty of parking at hotel and at terminal metro station. Hotel is on the busy street with supermarkets, shops and restaurants. McDonald’s and Burger King are just steps away for quick bite. Also car wash is next door. Hotel is practically sitting on one of highways, but highways are quite busy in the mornings and early evenings.

A bit of street noise at night (street is 2x3 lanes) that didn’t bother us that much, but is something to be aware of for light sleepers. Also for night shift they had new staffer that was nervous and busy with check-ins / check-outs so we didn’t have all our request completed right away or questions answered.

Exceptional property in the city of Lombard

This property is well maintained and does exceptional work to keep it up to date. The rooms are clean and the beds are fresh. The breakfast was exceptional. I loved the croissant with egg and sausage, hot oats with a variety of fresh condiments, tea, coffee neatly arranged and always stocked. The attendants are always cleaning, refilling and taking care of the food. During check-in I was asked how many times I wanted room service to clean my room. Located in Lombard, it is very cost effective considering the prices in downtown Chicago. There are so many restaurants nearby. Thank you for a wonderful stay. My 16 month baby girl loved it.

The traffic in downtown Chicago was horrible. The highways (Eisenhower) and others was not at all a highway I was driving at 10 miles due to the traffic. It is a 25 min commute to downtown but well worth the price.

Conveniently located off of the expressway

I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS PROPERTY OR USE BOOKING AGAIN!!! I used booking to secure a room for the night. My credit card was charged by booking. When I arrived at the property, my reservation was visible but the credit card used by the BOOKING (3rd party), was declined. The front desk clerk threatened to keep me out of my paid for room because Fairfield didn’t get paid. I told her that was a problem between You and BOOKING. I shared my confirmation number, showed her the charge to my account and asked to speak to her manager because I was not paying 2x because BOOKING and RI was LAME. RI, teach your team how to contact BOOKING to resolve issues so the paying customer is not inconvenienced. That’s right! The front desk clerk asked me if I had a contact number for BOOKING. I replied, you have the corporate contract, shouldn’t you know. I googled it and provided the number for her to correct the problem. EXTRA MESSY!!!

Gabriela went the distance when my booking was not complete on the end of booking.com ends. After 1 hour and half of waiting and late to a wedding, she fixed everything. She went above and beyond for her guess.

Booking.com didn't send confirmation to the hotel, which hindered the stay. We received confirmation number and pin, the hotel did not
