Location was great for our event.
When I parked our car I noted the mileage on our vehicle. Next day we had 10 more miles on our vehicle long story short when I questioned this I was told due to traffic so forth. 10 miles is from driving fromCrown Plaza to Greenwood. No way 10 miles extra just to park our vehicle. Impossible plus the parking fo rour vehicle was around back of the hotel either way it wa snot 10 miles to park our vehicle. plus our vehicle was parked outside due to the frost on the vehicle. I do not like to be lied too either 10 miles is 10 miles I know what the mileage was when I exited the vehicle. This does not add up.

It is absolutely stunning. I’ve never stayed at such a beautiful and distinctive property.
The only complaint is that the TVs default to Fox News when you turn them on.

Staff was friendly. I was able to park and check in early which I appreciated because I had to get to an event for work.
There was a lot of construction in front of the hotel. It made getting there a little difficult but wasn’t terrible.

Location and the amenities along with the staff>Also enjoyed the surrounding area and night life
Parking and road construction around the hotel. Did not care for the breakfast at the hotel restaurant

Very nice, very clean. Definitely a unique place to stay.
The parking situation isn’t great. $50 for valet or you can go to a garage that’s like a 10 minute walk.

Restaurant was nice. Staff was great. Location was perfect for our event at Lucas oil stadium, literally a 5 min walk. Tons of Restaurants in walking distance.
Beds in the train car rooms were a little short, im 6'1, but there's only so much room in the train cars so I understand.

Location was great. Room was nice and bed was comfortable. No issues there.
Room key was finicky and shower lever was difficult to get working. Construction was a pain to work around but they have little control over that. Hotel parking was Valet only and very expensive. Only makes sense if you are frequently getting your car. Union station Parking garage, not managed by hotel, was a bargain but a few blocks to walk. Not a big deal for me.

Unique setting, very clean, staff extremely friendly. Breakfast buffet (not included) was one of the best hotel buffets I’ve had.
Construction right outside front doors. Only option for parking at the hotel is valet which is $50 per night.

The location is great. The art work throughout the building is breath taking.
The water pressure was almost non existent. Toilet didn't flush well.

A Dream That Turned Into an Absolute Nightmare
What was supposed to be a relaxing and special stay turned into one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, we were treated with such disrespect, it honestly left me shocked and hurt.
We were given a suite, but it ended up having a serious issue: the toilet made this awful grinding, squealing, and high-pitched whistling noise every time it was flushed—or even when another room’s toilet was used. It was loud, constant, and unbearable. My husband and I both got terrible migraines from it, and I even fainted from how overwhelmed and sick it made me feel. When we reported it, no one took it seriously. No apology, no fix, no offer to switch rooms—nothing. We were completely dismissed.
To make matters worse, housekeeping walked in on us while we were still asleep and completely undressed, well before the 11 a.m. checkout time, it was more like 8:50 AM. There was barely a knock, no warning at all, just someone entering our room while we were completely vulnerable. I’ve never felt so violated in a hotel. It was beyond inappropriate.
And I have to mention Bre, the staff member who spoke to us when we asked for help. She was cold, unkind, and clearly annoyed with us from the start. I don’t know what we did to deserve that attitude, but it was clear she had no interest in helping us or making our stay better. Honestly, someone with that kind of attitude shouldn’t be working in hospitality at all.
Luckily, for us, the morning staff was a completely different group of people, and they were kind and accommodating and so was the valet.
Unfortunately I give this experience 1 star as it ultimately left me feeling hurt, offended, and totally disrespected. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Save yourself the headache—literally—and stay somewhere that actually cares about its guests.

Very nice hotel. Great staff. Large room. Very unique with the trains. Awesome access to the convention center.
The trains passing at night take some getting used too, but the front desk does advise you of it at check in. No big deal.

We stayed in the king train car room, and was very pleased with the way they had it. The property over all was beautiful and clean.
The construction right outside the front door was definitely troublesome, I understand it is out of your control.

Don’t let the outside fool you!! They are updating the hotel and it is beautiful! It’s right in the middle of Gainbridge and Lucas oil and so close to the heart of downtown. Once all the construction is done downtown it will be amazing.
Downtown Indy is a hot mess right now so it looks really bad, but it will be amazing when it’s done. My only complaints about the actual hotel is the water pressure is not good and our tub backed up while we were showering.

Hotel was overbooked. Luckily, I called with a question before I showed up. They said I should have never been able to make the reservation, and there were no available rooms for me.

Loved the uniqueness of the hotel built around old Union Station. Very friendly staff.
I think if there's major construction directly outside the doors of the hotel, with dust and cranes everywhere, guests should be warned in advance or at least offered some kind of compensation. Sidewalks blocked off, and construction inside the hotel didn't help either. The room I was in seemed a little tired. The 'train rooms' would have been a novel option but your booking site didn;t seem to offer that.

The esthetics, the theme was very nice. The train and statues were creative.
Much smaller than it appeared, the sink wasn’t drained, the stopper in the sink is a terrible idea, no microwave, no complimentary water in the refrigerator, no room service, no Bible, an incidental fee (without incidentals), no menu nor food options from nearby restaurants, no outside book of attractions and no guest parking …only valet at $50 per day …terrible

We stayed in one of the Train car suites and it was amazing! The hotel was very nice and everyone was friendly. We loved the train car rooms so much and I would highly recommended that anyone who has kids of any age spend the night in one of these rooms because it creates a cool little memory for the whole family no matter if you are just on a quick overnight adventure or staying for several days. Having a unique room is going to be a fond memory we will look back on years from now. That makes this hotel stay worth every penny. Thanks for creating such a lovely place for us to enjoy.
The only negative thing I can say about this hotel is that the road it sits on is currently under major construction due to a new hotel being built across the street from it and it’s a little bit of an inconvenience to have to park in a parking garage a block away. Alternatively they do offer valley parking for those who don’t want to have the hassle of walking all the way to and from the parking garage but we opted to just park in the garage and walk because we used an uber for all of our travel while we were there.

I have the opportunity to stay at this location for my sororities national convention. It was the perfect location to be close to the convention center. The facility was unique because they were rooms where old train cars had been converted and that was very unique to see. My accommodations were fantastic as far as room availability at all.
Their system for checking you in and out of a room is very old. And someone else’s member number was placed on my room so my bill had someone else’s name someone else’s credit card information. It was a big mess and then I was double charged for my room and they could never figure out the rate and it was horrible. From that standpoint. They just need a better, a newer, a more updated system for checking in guest note that Was major. We were there for a conference so the hotel staff did not prepare themselves for the large group. They had an area that they use in the morning for their breakfast so instead of opening that area up in the evening so that the guest staying at the hotel could at least go in and sit down and wait to be served they had a hostess Working upfront who was as rude as she could be and she was just straight up nasty and that was a big turn off because she was sending people away. She was just horrible. Cost a little area that they did have to eat in in the evening wasn’t that large so after say about 30 of us Enter that little area there was no room for anyone else. It was horrible, but they were not prepared. And on top of that they must’ve just hired waiters that day that we were there and we were there for a total of eight days because they never do what was on the menu so that was off horrible experience

it was a beautiful hotel. First time there.
The AC!!! when we were in bed, everytime the AC kicked on, it blew right in our faces. we had to put a pillow over our face to keep it from hitting us. It woke us up EVERYTIME it turned on. there was no way to move the direction of the air so we turned it off and so we were HOT all night!
Also, there was no fan in the restroom and it became really hot in there when showering
