Not impressed; but perfect staff/ location.

The location was perfect. Shopping and restaurants in walking distance. The staff was excellent and super sweet.

There was construction going on to upgrade the lobby area. You have to pay for breakfast ($20 for basic eggs, bacon maybe a waffle); this should be complimentary, especially from the inconvenience of the construction. We did not eat at the hotel as there was an IHOP, and First Watch within minutes from the hotel.

Nice size room

Bed was lopsided, lobby restaurant was under construction. The reason booked this hotel was for pool, but the whole area smelled like sewer, so never used the pool. Did not receive the value paid for.

Not a good stay this time

The location, always good being in the heart of Novi shopping areas

The pool was closed, and the rooms near the pool had a mildew smell the neighbors kept banging on my walls and someone was smoking weed which caused the fire alarm to go off and everyone had to evaluate plus I was promised a partial refund and never received it 😡

Pool under remodel/unable to be used without warning before booking. Fire alarm was triggered by remodel crew and went off and on repeatedly for close to an hour while they tried to figure out how to shut it off.

My stay could have been perfect but I wasn’t really able to enjoy the full time I paid for.

Front desk employees helped me at a desperate time of need. Manager Gloria was very accommodating and I appreciate the gentlemen who were patience with my request.

The Book website payment doesn’t include the deposit and would not let m use the same card I paid for the room with which made it difficult. I didn’t check into my room until 7pm because of this issue which was annoying.

We loved it! We all had a great time!

We LOVED it. My kids and I came for a dance competition. It was amazing to have a separate area in the room for me to get my girls ready for early morning call times. My girls have already asked if next year when we travel back to Detroit, if we can stay there.

I wish the breakfast started a little earlier and I wish the pool was open later… after a long day of competition, my girls (and others) really would have loved to stay up late and enjoy our stay.

DOUBLETREE IS STILL OUR NUMBER ONE CHOICE

The staff is friendly and courteous. They are very accommodating. They took the time to answer questions and the cookies, those famous cookies only found at Doubletree add to the experience. My family has chosen Doubletree Hotel, especially the Novi, Michigan location as our favorite place to stay often one to two times per year during the Motor City Comicon.

The cost for this visit. We are usually able to take advantage of more affordable prices at Doubletree, but we ended up paying more than two hundred dollars additional. In Doubletrees defense however, our booking came in the day before check-in after another establishment cancelled our reservation without notifying us that they did so (SIGH).

With lower expectations this is an average room with below average accomodations and above ave price

The location was convenient with easy access. There is plenty of parking with entrances close to certain areas of the hotel. This was convenient for my pet walking. .

The room lacked usual amenities and features i.e. empty plastic laundry bag, microwave oven, wet bar, exhaust fan in bathroom and, small table with 2 chairs. There was only 1 broken down desk chair to sit in besides the edge of the bed. This room was supposed to accommodate 2 adults but no seating for 2. The mattress was uncomfortable and sagging in some spots.It probably should be replaced. I feel this was a below average hotel room with an above average price. Surely 2 cookies didn't cost that much. I also think $100 for a dog to stay is outrageous. This didn't cost the hotel $100 or anything even close. They advertise a pool but no where did they tell you that it would be closed to their guests during certain hours of the day because they rented it out for swimming lessons to another company....really?!

I do not recommend for anyone with taste and standards

The hotel was old and smelled like mildew throughout the building. There’s only 1 elevator which was on the other side of the building from our room. The luggage cart was old and difficult to navigate. If you have difficulty walking you may find this daunting. The furniture is dated and we were glad we only stayed 1 night as a quick pit stop for our road trip to the U.P.

Never stay here!! If I could give negative stars I would! Incompetent desk and food service staff !! Messed up my reservation and charges for trip for funeral , When I asked for a solution to a $300 overcharge that was their mistake that was left unresolved , I said, "look we are grieving here for a funeral there must be something you can do..." Was told " no management on premises come back another day, nothing I can do" When I said this was not acceptable I live out of town, and asked for who to call... Desk Staff Gwen said, " you are not going to levy a dead relative against me" ...add to this no clean glassware, no coffee, very late room service... UGGH never again!! Hilton needs to get their act together!
