It was disappointing.

I liked the location and price.

The room was noticeably dirty... popcorn and wrappers on the desk. No linens for the fold out couch, which is why we asked for that room. The couch was filthy, I wouldn't sleep or sit on it even if it "worked" by unfolding properly.

Avoid this place

The lady that works overnight is an absolute gem! She is the only reason I didn't either turn around and leave or leave an even worse review. This poor lady did everything in her power to address my issues and make the situation right.

One building is going through a renovation. It is DIRTY (construction dirty). The front desk lady gave me a high floor to try and keep me away from the construction noise as much as possible. However, when I got to my room, the mattress was still wrapped in plastic, there was no bedding, the heat was off in the room (in Jan in Michigan), and the smoke detector low battery beeped every 30-60 seconds. The second room didn't have the smoke detector issue but also had only a plastic wrapped mattress. Eventually housekeeping was able to fix the bed but no one bothered to address the smoke detector. After a full day, I was finally moved to the older building and while the room itself was fine, the shower didn't work....it was not physically possible to switch the water from bath to shower mode. Needless to say, I won't be staying here again.

Cockroaches, mold and filth.

The only thing I liked was that the manager refunded my stay without any issue.

The first room I was in had cockroaches, very little working lights and a broken TV. When asked to move I was put in a different building without working keys..when I went back and got working ones that room was not clean. There was food all over the counter and stove, weed on the nightstand, paw prints on the couch and the bed was broken. I went and asked for a refund so I could go elsewhere and was told I couldn't get one before the next morning when the manager arrived. I had no choice but to stay. Thankfully he refunded both nights without issue. However - he mentioned that the prior room was being cleaned when I let him know that my boots were left in it. Meaning, they didn't care about the roaches or broken TV. Also found mold in my second room along with cobwebs and tape from the prior guest all over the walls. Very, very, dirty hotel. From the carpets in the lobby, to the elevator, to the room. Gross.

I chose here based on our stay in Chicago. This location left MUCH to be desired.

I loved that they were to accommodate an early check in; As well as my request to be on the first floor due to having surgery at a nearby facility.

The couch was very uncomfortable, torn up. There was no dishware in the suite, which had a kitchenette complete with a stove. So I was unable to cook the food I brought with me. There was one trash can in the entire room, and just happened to be in the bathroom only. We had one set of towels for a 2 night stay. There were no extra pillows or blankets in the room. We had coffee that we could have made, but no coffee pot.

The room was nice and clean. Had a full kitchen if we wanted to cook. Not sure about adequate dishes to use but...

Lots of people leaving bags of trash and dirty towels outside the room doors. If it is extended stay they should ask people to take care of their garbage so other guests don't have to walk past it.

I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

The location. The air conditioning worked, so that was good.

The building had a cigarette smell to it. The fridge had left over food sitting in the door of the fridge (noodles to be exact). There were multiple cobwebs on the ceilings, particularly above the bed. There was a desk covering an “Employees Only” door connected to my room. There was a centipede above the entrance to the door. It was overall not clean enough to pay what I paid.

We didn't stay.

We checked into our room and it had dirty socks and kelnexs. You could tell right away the room wasn't cleaned. The staff didn't understand there was an issue. They said they had no more rooms and that they could not refund me I have to get my money back from booking.com

It was dirty. Shelf in the closet was broke. Shelf in the bathroom was half hanging down. Towel had a dried blood spot. Fridge didn't work and it smelled. I never stayed there but was charged $75. The manager never called me and is hard to reach. Employee acted like the room was top notch. Charged me $150 for my cat but I was told $75. I had to leave. It was making me sick.

Very Disappointed

Location

First room that I was given was nasty. It smelled really musty, the bathroom was disgusting, and did not fit the description of the room I reserved. I reserved a 2 queen bed suite with a queen size sofa bed. The first room only had a dirty chair in it. I was given another room after complaining to the front desk clerk. Upon entering the second room, I could smell that it had just been sprayed with disinfectant and air freshener, however it was clean. I will not be staying with them again.

Terrible Experience

The location of the hotel was great. There are many food and shopping options.

The hotel messed up our booking and was really rude about fixing it, initially. I can say that the assistant manager was more kind about the situation on the last time we spoke about the booking mess-up. I was also promised a queen bed and was given a full-sized bed. The kitchen was dusty, dirty, and food was on the ground in the kitchen and living area. The shower curtain liner was also covered in mold. The hallway on the 2nd floor had a terrible odor. Also, wasps and bees kept coming into our room, somehow, through the closed window. This was a horrible experience.

The suite: I did like the fact the staff listened to my concerns and compensated me with half off my second night. That was fair.

There were so many things missing in the kitchenette and the oven door still did not completely seal after having been in the same room 2 years before. Alot of things weren't the same condition unfortunately

(All minor complaints) No housekeeping observed during our stay, spent time getting sheets for the pullout, towels & wash clothes each day. Pillows were awful. The Sonesta Select next door has been remodeled and provides a stark visual contrast.

Enjoyed the extra space, but everything else was a hot mess.

The space.

The sign wasn’t lit. Hard to tell where the entrance was. We were sent to the wrong building by the staff when we got there. Had to wonder around until we found it. Pull out couch was old and dirty. Room did not feel clean. The fire alarm was hanging from the ceiling in our room. Toilet had low pressure and wouldn’t flush.
