Disappointing

Granted it was the coldest day ever, but the whole building was freezing. Even when the heat cranking in the room it was an ice box. I didnt notice bed bugs, but something bit my toe while I was sleeping and it swelled to 3x the size. The check out time I was given was an hour earlier than what was posted on the back of my door and house keeping was trying to clean my room and kick me out at 10, which was 2 hours before the posted checkout. Evening staff was decent, but tje morning staff looked disgusted when I asked him a question. And why does the dang front door open and close anytime anyone is remotely close to it.

The pool was freezing the lobby was extremely cold. our room was dirty. There was mold in the bathroom. They charged us more for the deposit than was said upon booking.

The room was dirty. There were visible stains all over the carpet, the loveseat had stains, the corners of the room, baseboards/carpet were filthy. It seems as if they surface clean between guests.

Horrible stay at sonesta select in novi!

Location

I didnt like the 1st room. The bed was not clean it had a fresh big blood stain on the matttres pad that was showing through the bed sheet. And there were visible stains on bed skirts and sofa..i request another room that room upon entering in smelled of marijuana. I had to go to walmart and buy disinfectants to clean hard surfaces and spray curtains and sofa and bed sheets just to get rid of the marijuana smell because i didnt think i could get a refund back for those 2 horrible rooms. This was my 1st time staying at sonesta select. I will never stay there again.

The rooms were nice, very friendly staff, and the pool.

When we got there we were told there was no breakfast, for 150.00 per night we should at least get a bagel. The web site did not explain that. And with a family of 5, we look for places with breakfast included.

I won't stay there again

They gave us a different room when I told them that the bathtub drain is clugged.

The older woman at the front desk was very rude when my mum went to rinse a cup in the open kitchen right in front of the front desk. There was no need for shouting and being rude. Also the drain in the bathtub was clugged and water won't go down.

Location

Television had limited channel selection. The phone didn’t work and they were aware but didn’t tell me until I let them know. Also I was charged a higher rate for breakfast and they don’t serve breakfast on the weekends.

Didn't think about it too much as was in town visiting my Dad in Hospice and he passed during my stay, so I moved to another hotel closer to Funeral home for my Wife and I to stay closer to Funeral Home to help with family obligations and Funeral process. So no problems with hotel staff was nice just was a solemn stay
