Our host and his family were wonderfully friendly and helpful.

Our host, David, was wonderful, friendly, and helpful, plus his sweet mother boiled eggs for us to take along in the morning. It was only a 2-mile walk from our conference center and an excellent morning walk along the Fraser River Mid Arm Trail each day on the way to the conference center.

The phrase “Bed and Breakfast “ means something very different in Canada than it does in the U.S. We did not know that when we booked the room. It was more like what our area would call a hostel. You are renting a bed to sleep in. We felt terrible, because it very much seemed like we had bumped someone out of their bedroom, so we could stay there. The dresser and closet had someone’s personal items in them. We had requested boiled eggs for protein after we saw what was considered a breakfast in Canada (boxed cereal and yogurt, some fruit) and our hosts were wonderfully accommodating, but the eggs were not marked that they were there because we had requested them, so other guests had already eaten most of them by the time we got down for breakfast. It was a simple misunderstanding, not intentional to be rude or inconsiderate. My husband’s comment was that it would be helpful to have signs telling the procedures guests should follow. There were lots of signs telling everyone what NOT to do (particularly with recycling or compost), but there was nowhere we could find that told us what we were SUPPOSED to do with items. There is video surveillance everywhere, so our hosts must have noticed in the video that none of us could figure out what to do with food waste. Someone did let my husband know the next day what to do with food waste (peels, egg shells, etc). The family was sweet and very hospitable. We were hesitant to mention our concerns, because they were very gracious and kind, and we do not want to hurt their business. At the same time, if we had understood the cultural differences between Canada’s bed and breakfast concept and what we were expecting, we would have chosen differently.

I would recommend the host to freshen up the garden and common areas. The rooms are alright, but overall it is not worth

Proximity to airport is convenient and it is still quiet. The host communcated in advance and was very flexible granting an early check-in.

Unfortunately, except for the rooms, the house is uncleanly and chaotic with a lot of stuff standing around- same in the garden. Breakfast is self-serve, but doesn‘t really offer anything and for us it was unappetizing to eat anything surrounded by chaos.

The room was large, clean and well equipped. The choice of breakfast items was good. We received a friendly welcome from our host.

There are plenty of self-access choices for breakfast, which is an uncooked version but offers sufficient options. The whole house is neat as a pin and clean, and every time I wanted something in my room it was provided (e.g. plug converters, fans, shampoo, etc etc). Free off-street parking and easy check-in. The handheld shower has abundant pressure, which is very important to me. Really, everything was available and suitable, just like the last time I stayed in 2023.

Location is central & fairly close to the airport. The son of the owner was nice to reach out to me & give the code to enter the house given I was arriving at 6pm. Quiet nice neighbourhood with safe parking. Descent self survive breakfast.

The room was very dusty, as though it was not occupied for a while. I had trouble falling asleep & woke up with a severe allergy due to the dust. There was a layer of dust on the tv table & blinds. The bath tub had a layer of dust & human hair on the edges, which is unacceptable. One towel had an odorous aroma. The room had cobwebs too. See photos attached

I had a comfortable stay and appreciated the amenities provided. The host was very keen to please.

The location was chosen for proximity to the airport, and value for money. The host was really responsive and helpful with communication. The room and bed were clean and comfortable. I like going for a walk in the morning, and there is a long path nearby along the Fraser River.

Being close to the airport, there is noise from planes in the morning.

One of the Best Places Close to YVR

The close proximity to YVR made it a great place to stay. The Uber prices were less than taxis, and it takes less than 10 - 15 minutes one way. The breakfast was a "help yourself" style with the exception of requesting boiled eggs. I personally liked that aspect. There are a number of restaurants just around the corner, which is a bonus for lunch/dinner options. It is a residential home and depending on the room you book, you may have to share the bathroom. I personally do not mind that, and for the price point I am very satisfied with the experience.

It would have been nice to know that the bathroom would potentially be shared with other people, but other than that I have nothing negative to say. :)

Clean, comfortable, quiet accommodation, close to the airport, with a great host.

The location was great, set on a pretty street, and only 15 mins from the airport. Five minutes away is a shopping area and few restaurants, which is useful. 100metres away is a bus stop that can take you to the picturesque seaside town of Steveston. The accommodation is clean and comfortable. The best part was the communication with the host, David, he could not be more helpful. Would definitely recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, David was very helpful. It is a lovely area and near the airport.

Breakfast was ‘help yourself’ with a welcome coffee machine. The B and B was near the airport in a pleasant quiet residential area. David the host was very welcoming and helpful. We stayed one night and visited the river, a very good Chinese restaurant and the Fisherman’s Wharf the second day. The room was large and comfortable and so was the en-suite bath/shower.

Perhaps a little more preparation of the breakfast but the coffee machine was a treat.

Nice Layover

The room with private bathroom was spacious and bright, quiet. I loved the bathroom. Easy to get to from the airport and easy walking distance along the river for shopping/dinner. It is in a private house but I felt welcome. Fixed myself some breakfast and started in my journey..

Perfect last night in Vancouver

Lovely large bedroom in a beautiful house. Super bathroom with quality bath and shower. Had run of the house and made to feel very welcome. Self service breakfast with everything you could need.Dave , the host, went out of his way to be helpful and booked our taxi to the airport. Richmond lovely quiet location.
