Distinctive experience in Santa Cruz

Front desk was staffed all day and into the early evening, and the staff was very helpful. We loved the chocolate chip cookies on arrival and thoughtful touches like bottled water in the room. The windows opened and there were blackout shades on them. We also liked the high ceilings and the character of this historic property, which is quite different from the generic, chain hotel rooms in the surrounding area.

Would stay again.

The location was terrific. The room was very nice as was the partial ocean view. We really enjoy the Four Sisters hotels; very nice accommodations, casual atmosphere, very accommodating staff, almost like being a guest in your own home. The evening wine and crackers were very nice and the chocolate chip cookies were fun to look forward to.

The breakfast was nice, but not to my liking, however, it would have been unreasonable for the property to provide much more. My partner liked it.

Perfect stay

We had a fantastic night's stay in Santa Cruz. The hotel was impeccable and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Highlights included an unexpected afternoon cheese and wine session. I'm a real movie buff, so the location was perfect to scout out filming locations from the 1987 movie Lost boys. It's close to the Boardwalk and is everything you could possibly want from a high class hotel in the heart of town

Great location, great view! Walk to everything, or just enjoy being at the Inn.

Not really a complaint about the property, but one of the neighboring hotels/businesses had a huge tv/projection screen on all night, with the same video of a sea otter doing nothing.

I would not stay here again. $400 dollars a night for the SUPERIOR KING and I left in pain.

The property was beautiful. The bathroom was enormous. The breakfast was good flavor just only one option is available.

The room was extremely hot. Very small window and of course no A/C. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. I liked that they text to check on you but they don’t respond when you text back. I asked for assistance with the temperature of the room with no response.

Beautiful guest house

Second time staying here and was just as beautiful again. Beautifully restored guest house and perfectly placed to enjoy Santa Cruz. Super friendly staff who were always smiling. Just lovely. Breakfast was fabulous and the option to take out the bikes was brilliant. Would definitely recommend.

Very expensive stay with only adequate comfort

Building is 19th century house, beautifully remodeled with expensive finishes. Breakfast was adequate. One warm entree plus cold cereals and fruit. Hampton Inn breakfasts offer more choice and comparable quality.

Staff seemed disorganized and inefficient. Room (at top of building) had very poor ventilation, which facility tried to address with portable fans. They did not do the job because there was only one window, about 2 sq ft, for a large space

Beautiful Victorian with clean and spacious rooms, ocean views off the front windows and porch

The breakfast looked great. We could not stay to eat, needing to get back home, but the chef makes "to go" morning breakfast sandwiches that we were able to take on the road.

The parking around the building is tight. Not many spaces for all of the rooms, and, due to location of the inn, would be difficult to navigate off-property to find parking. We had to park in the back alcove by the garbage cans, and had to move some of them to fit into parking.

Beautiful room and great stay.

The Inn is beautiful and our room was very comfortable. It's doesn't have A/C, but they do have portable fans, which were perfect for the weather. Great location for getting to the Boardwalk, beach and Downtown.

The breakfast was good although the descriptions from the website and the reviews lead me to believe there would be an a la carte menu of options in reality it was a very reduced buffet with no choice

Clearly this chain is a chain that is very removed from its staff… the reception staff were not at all attentive for the price hike and the promised extras such as sea view and wine and cheese hour. It felt very impersonal and cold and the guests reflected that feeling on not connecting .

It was amazing!!

This was my first time staying at his location. Everything was immaculate. The breakfast was great. The dining hall was clean and welcoming. The staff was amazing, and the wine, cheese and fruit was just an added bonus. We had a great view of the boardwalk and the fireplace in the living area was warm and cozy. It almost felt like being at home. I did not want to leave.

It is not that I did not like it, but our tub came with jets and only 2 of the jets worked. It was not advertised as a jacuzzi tub, but next time I will request a room with a jacuzzi.

A nice boutique hotel option in a prime location

The room in this nicely decorated victorian house was very comfortable. Very comfy bed, luxurious bathroom and a great view of the sea. The good breakfast will have something for everyone and is a good start of the day. The hotel is very conveniently located to close to the pier and restaurants in walking distance. The complimentary Wine & Cheese as well as the home made cookies are not to be missed.

Hidden gem. Super friendly staff and a real B&B vibe with home baked food.

This is a hidden gem! It's a converted Victorian house. Our room was so comfy and spacious. They had fresh baked cookies when we arrived and more throughout the day. They also had a homemade breakfast- it was a breakfast quiche. It felt more like a B&B than a hotel. Friendly staff. Had a blast and wished we could stay longer. It it within a short walking distance of the Pier.

They have a nice living room ( lounge ) downstairs where you can relax and work and have unlimited tea / coffee and cookies. The property is very clean and well maintained. toilets are big, towels fresh and new. Great Bathtub.

Reached at 7.30 pm . no reception and noone to open the door while it was raiing outside heavily. had to call a call center to get details of the key to enter. No easy instructions from the call center. there is no staff at this property after 8pm . When i booked, it showed as ocean view - there is NO ocean view. Please do not select this property by the name of the room given.
