Hello and a warm welcome to your vacation home on Borkum. In our high-quality, modern “Ferienhaus Wellmann,” you’ll enjoy a wonderful island getaway. Just a short walk away, you’ll find the North Sea and the popular South Beach—perfect for sunbathing, swimming, or taking a stroll. For exclusive comfort and maximum relaxation, a complimentary beach tent—reserved just for you—is available seasonally, offering sweeping views of the beach and the sea. The Nordbad and the island center are just a few minutes’ bike ride away.
With a generous 72 m² spread over two floors (first floor + upper floor), the “Wellmann Vacation Home” offers plenty of space for a relaxing vacation for up to four people. Modern and cozy furnishings in harmonious colors create a very welcoming atmosphere, while maritime accessories add that authentic North Sea feel.
Enjoy your breakfast in the morning on the large terrace amid the idyllic tranquility of the island. Afterward, you can relax with a good book in a garden chair or a cozy beach chair—that’s the vacation feeling from the very first second! The covered terrace allows you to spend time outdoors even on slightly rainy days. The sunny private garden is especially lovely, with pretty plants, a wide lawn, and a playground. For little North Sea adventurers, we’ve set up a slide, a swing, and a trampoline. While you’re relaxing on the patio, your children will have plenty of fun on the playground equipment.
You can also completely unwind at the nearby beach and savor the crisp North Sea air. The gentle sound of the waves, the cries of the seagulls—here you can enjoy relaxing moments and recharge your batteries. Depending on the weather, the beach tent is set up from April/May through mid- to late September and is located on the south beach toward the dog beach. For more information, check your guest app.
The bright, spacious living/dining area, like the entire house, is decorated in soft, natural tones. Beautiful photographs of the island bring the North Sea atmosphere right into your home. At the round dining table with a view of the greenery, you can sit together comfortably after a day at the beach or a bike ride and enjoy your meals. The large sofa arrangement, complete with a modern TV and CD player, is perfect for movie nights or relaxing while listening to music. When the patio doors are open, the sofa, dining table, and patio come together to form a cozy setting—ideal for dinner or a game night in the crisp North Sea air.
The modern, separate kitchen is a wonderful place to cook and chat together: With high-quality appliances and small kitchen gadgets such as a microwave, glass-ceramic stove, oven, and dishwasher, as well as a coffee maker, kettle, and toaster, you can quickly and easily whip up delicious meals or prepare snacks for your outing.
The two separate bedrooms upstairs promise restful nights. The spacious master bedroom, featuring a double bed (180 x 200 cm), a closet, and a TV, is located on the terrace side and offers a beautiful view of the green garden. Wind down the day with a good movie in bed, or enjoy the nighttime tranquility a little longer in the recliner by the window. The cheerfully decorated children’s room is equipped with two comfortable single beds (90 x 200 cm each), a TV, and a closet. Blackout curtains in the master bedroom and blinds in the children’s room ensure a restful night’s sleep. Both the living room and the two bedrooms feature designer vinyl flooring.
A large, naturally lit bathroom on the upper floor and an additional guest bathroom on the first floor make daily bathroom routines a breeze. The natural-light bathroom features a shower with a tub, a toilet, a sink with an illuminated mirror, a heated towel rack, and underfloor heating, as well as storage space for your toiletries, a cosmetic mirror, and a hair dryer. In the guest bathroom, you’ll find a sink with an illuminated mirror and a toilet. Carefully selected details round out the amenities and invite you to relax.
You enter our vacation home through a hallway and entryway. The bright entryway features a coat rack and a shoe rack, so you can conveniently set aside your clothes.
For our little North Sea vacationers, a crib, high chair, and stair gate are available.
A private parking space in front of the house and a spot for bicycles add to the convenience.

The family-friendly Südbad is just a short walk of about 20 minutes away via Deichstraße/Randzelstraße. With gently sloping waters and plenty of space for young vacationers, it’s ideal for relaxing days at the beach. You can reach the Nordbad in about 30 minutes on foot or via a short bike path. It’s the vibrant heart of the island, and with its inviting promenade, bandstand, and kilometers of sandy beach, it’s a wonderful place to stroll and sunbathe!
The island center, with its supermarkets, bakeries, small boutiques, and cozy restaurants, is also just a short walk from the house along flat, bike-friendly paths (about 5–6 minutes).
Enjoy the “Gezeitenland ~ Wasser & Wellness” adventure attraction: Here, pure relaxation awaits you in any weather—with a water park, sauna area, and the unique indoor surf wave.
