Important : Please understand what makes this property special before booking. This is not a newly constructed apartment, modern hotel, or luxury condo. You are staying inside an authentic historic Old San Juan building that is over 200 years old, with portions and architectural elements reflecting centuries of history.

The aged walls, traditional floors and tiles, original-style wooden doors, shutters, high ceilings and other details are part of the character of the home. Historic properties naturally show signs of age, previous repairs, uneven surfaces, marks, discoloration and imperfections that you would not normally find in a newly constructed building. We preserve this character because experiencing it is part of experiencing Old San Juan.

An Incredible Location

Location is one of the biggest reasons to stay here. Step outside and you’re immediately surrounded by Old San Juan. The famous Puerto Rico flag, photographed by visitors from around the world, is just steps away. Restaurants, cafés, cocktail bars, historic attractions, colorful streets and the waterfront are all within walking distance.

You’ll also be near La Factoría, one of Old San Juan’s best-known nightlife destinations. There is no need to experience the city from a distance—you’re staying right in the middle of it.

Walk through historic streets, enjoy dinner nearby, explore during the day, experience the nightlife at night, or walk toward the water and enjoy the Caribbean breeze.

Because of our central location, this property can be LOUD, particularly on Friday and Saturday nights, holidays, festivals and other busy nights until 2-3 AM

Old San Juan has an active nightlife scene, and the home is close to popular bars and restaurants, including La Factoría. You may hear music, people talking, street activity, cars and general nightlife noise, sometimes continuing late into the night.

Additionally, this is a centuries-old building. It was not constructed with the soundproofing or sealed windows and doors found in modern hotels and condominiums.

If you are looking for a quiet, secluded or relaxing weekend getaway, we do NOT recommend booking this property.

If, however, you want to step outside your door and immediately experience the restaurants, nightlife, culture, history and energy of Old San Juan, the location is difficult to beat.

Because of this incredible central location, street noise, music, people and nightlife should be expected, especially on weekends, holidays and festival nights, and it may continue late into the night.

If you are looking for a quiet or peaceful weekend retreat, this may not be the right property for you. This home is best for guests who want to experience the energy, culture and nightlife of Old San Juan and be within walking distance of everything.

Please also remember that you are staying in an authentic centuries-old historic building, not a newly constructed luxury condo or hotel. Original and aged architectural elements may include uneven or worn floors and tiles, marks or imperfections on walls and wood, older doors and windows, and other signs of age. The historic doors and windows are also not sealed or soundproof like those in modern buildings.

These characteristics are part of the history and charm of the property and are not considered maintenance or cleanliness issues.
