About this apartment rental

Stay in a former rehabilitated workshop of 105 m², nestled in the heart of the historic centre of Aix-en-Provence, in a particularly quiet pedestrian cul-de-sac.

This atypical accommodation, spread over three levels, combines the charm of the old with beautiful volumes: Provençal ceilings with exposed beams, mezzanine, vaulted cellar in stone naturally cool in summer and a large living room bathed in light.

Only a few steps from the lively squares, Provençal markets, restaurants, museums and emblematic fountains, you can fully enjoy the Aix art of living before returning to the calm of your home.

The loft offers 105 m² spread over three levels.

First floor:

Large bright living room.
Fully equipped kitchen with central island.
Convivial dining room.
Bedroom with double bed (140 × 190 cm).
Large bathroom with shower.
Separate WC.
Washing machine.

Mezzanine (Accessible by an internal staircase.)

You will find:

a closed bedroom with a double bed (140 × 190 cm);
a desk;
a wardrobe with shelves and wardrobe;
a private bathroom with large bathtub and toilet.

The room has an authentic Provençal ceiling with exposed beams, which contributes to the charm of the place.

Important:
The ceiling height is about 1.80 m and a beam crosses the room at 1.70 m.

This room is perfect for children, teenagers and adults of average height. Tall people will simply have to be careful when they move around.

An exceptional vaulted cellar of more than 55 m²

Accessible by a magnificent interior stone staircase, the vaulted cellar is a real additional living space.

Naturally cool during the summer, it allows you to enjoy a pleasant temperature even during the high heat of Provence.

It includes:

a convivial space with a high table to share a drink or a meal;
a large vaulted living room equipped with a TV and comfortable sofas.

Its stone vaults and unique atmosphere make it a particularly popular place to relax after a day of sightseeing.

Note that stone is a living natural material: despite careful maintenance, a slight mineral dust may occasionally appear.

This former workshop has been fitted out in a spirit of authenticity.

Some of the furniture is made up of old, second-hand or second-life pieces, selected for their character. The accommodation favours charm, history and personality rather than a standardised contemporary style.

If you are looking for a completely new interior or luxury hotel accommodation, this accommodation will probably not meet your expectations.

On the other hand, if you like atypical places, old buildings and homes with a real soul, you should feel at home there.

Like all historic buildings in the In the old centre of Aix, the accommodation naturally has some marks of time that contribute to its authenticity.

Included are the linen (sheets, towels, bath mats, dish towels), 2 Nespresso coffee capsules, 1 50L garbage bag.
