About this house rental
Summary:
Three bedrooms upstairs and room for six: a king room, a double room and a twin room with two single beds. There's an upstairs shower room with a walk-in shower and a separate toilet downstairs. The house is newly renovated, with a step-free front door, views across Portsmouth Harbour to the Spinnaker Tower and Portchester Castle, a private garden and an off-road parking space at the back. Port Solent's marina is about 11 minutes on foot.
The Space:

Bedroom 1 (upstairs): UK king-size bed, 150 cm wide (about the size of a US queen).
Bedroom 2 (upstairs): UK double bed, 135 cm wide (about a US full).
Bedroom 3 (upstairs): two single beds.
Hotel-quality linen, towels and toiletries are provided for everyone.
Bathrooms
A shower room upstairs with a marble-effect walk-in shower, and a separate toilet on the ground floor.
Kitchen and dining
Oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, air fryer and a coffee machine, with tea and kitchen basics on arrival. The breakfast bar seats four, and a pull-out side shelf adds space for more.
Living
A bright lounge with a Smart TV and fast Wi-Fi. Downstairs seating is set up for four. Herringbone floors and new fittings run throughout, and the harbour view is from the front.
Outside
An enclosed private garden at the back with a patio table and chairs.
Everyday practicals
Fans for warm weather, heating, an iron, a hair dryer and a laptop-friendly spot to work. Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit are in the house.
Travelling with children
Children and babies are welcome, and a cot is available if you ask when booking. All the bedrooms are upstairs, and the garden is enclosed.
Bringing your dog
Up to three dogs are welcome downstairs, and a pet fee applies. Dogs are not allowed upstairs.
House rules
Shoes off upstairs, please, and quiet after 9:30 pm.
Good to know
The front of the house faces the A27, a dual carriageway, so there is traffic noise at the front. With seating for four downstairs, a full house of six will find meals a little snug.
Guest Access:
The whole house is yours. Self check-in is by lockbox from 4 pm, with the last arrivals at 9 pm, and departure is by 10 am. Your off-road parking space is behind the house, off Farmlea Road; a second car can park on nearby streets.
The Neighborhood:
Spinnaker View stands on the edge of Portsmouth Harbour in Paulsgrove, on the north side of the city. On foot: Port Solent's marina, restaurants and cinema about 11 minutes, Portchester Castle about 20 along the harbour, and Lakeside North Harbour about 27. By car: Gunwharf Quays 11 minutes, the Historic Dockyard, with Nelson's flagship and the Mary Rose, 13, and Southsea Castle 14. Isle of Wight ferries leave from Portsmouth Harbour, 15 to 20 minutes away.
Getting Around:
Cosham station is about 5 minutes by car. Buses along Southampton Road serve Port Solent, Cosham and the city centre, the M27 is close by, and Queen Alexandra Hospital is about 6 minutes' drive.
