Stopover Stoford

Looks like recently converted from a Pub. Newly decorated room that was very warm and cosy with heavy rain outside. Access by key box. Parking uses old pub car park. Superb breakfast made by the host. The people running this are finding their feet but a super place at good prices. Would defiantly stay again.

I found it awkward finding the restaurant. A sign would help.

Excellent full English breakfast with egg, bacon. sausage, mushrooms, hash browns, tomatos and baked beans, all well cooked. Beds were so comfortable and clean. The en-suite with shower was excellent. Could not fault anything and Kat and Jenny the cleaner were so helpful and courteous. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here and we shall return too.

Not one thing.

Clean comfy rooms, heating was on now weather cooler, tea/coffee all well presented.

Centre light in room, I had to keep ducking, I'm 5ft 7inches and hung too low. The key box has no illumination of a night time and it said I'd have the key in my door fob, but didn't, it's to far away from the main door so kept slamming shut as U have to put key back in lockbox, not thought through for a solo traveller. Also the hall lights didn't come on with sensors, til I was at the end of the corridor, rather than at the start, sensors need to be in each end of all landings. There are parking signs about payment, I think left over from The Swan, but no information if parking is included, I couldn't find anything to pay, so hope I don't receive a ticket? Rooms rate highly, exterior and interior building poor for the reasons above, but looked all freshly painted.
