Dropped the grandkids off and stayed for the night. Was very off the cuff as booked it when sat at the nearest train station.
The room was very nice clean and comfortable

We had two evening meals; both were well cooked and satisfactory.
The outside staircase to the set of three bedrooms was concrete. No proper handrail. May not be suitable for visitors with reduced mobility. Use of toilets in the bar: could only be accessed by getting a code from the bar after making a purchase. Continental breakfast only available if ordered the night before and taken in the room at extra charge. Our room had one small stall. Both hot tap and shower were barely off cold (I understand the boiler was not on). It was not possible to mention this in the morning as no-one was there. The room was only of modest size. The table top fridge was kept in the wardrobe, making access not very convenient. I did mention the above concerns on leaving Sunday morning.
