Pleasant and well-located - a bit pricey for slightly over-egged facilities, and a bit tired.
* Distance from the property to family we were visiting. * The building and grounds were pleasant. * The room was serviced everyday which was good, towels, teas and coffees etc. replenished. * Only met staff on arrival and departure - they were very pleasant. * Good Wi-fi. * Plenty of free car parking space.
* Quite noisy room - as stated in the B&B general 'facilities' the rooms are 'soundproofed' - there was little to no soundproofing - we heard neighbouring rooms noises quite clearly, unfortunately. * The room needs some deep cleaning, dust on carpet edges and skirting boards. For a Classic Double Room at first glance everything seemed fine but ensuite was a let down, in Room named 'Bowling 1' was VERY small, no sizable person would comfortably squeeze into the shower cubicle. The ensuite needs shelving, surface space is non-existent, signs of mildew on plastic sealants etc. a tired space. * Could do with electric socket points on both bedsides - was supplied with a extension lead. * The radiator in the main bedroom didn't work, they kindly supplied us with an heater, but the room felt cold and a bit damp. Radiator should have been noticed before we checked in. A pleasant enough stay, but a bit mixed.

Pleasant stay but poor housekeeping let it down
The room was generally lovely and the bed was very comfortable. Facilities were good, the breakfast was enjoyable and had lots to choose from. Location is decent.
The bedsheets, duvet cover and pillowcases were filthy - bloodstains and other stains were present across all of the bedding. I tried calling reception but no-one answered, I went to reception in person but no-one was there, and I tried calling the alternative contact number posted on the reception door, but no-one answered that either. In the end we slept on them (carefully ensuring we were avoiding stains as best as we could) but it was quite disgusting. The rest of the room was nice but the key part - where you sleep - was a huge letdown. Polite staff, but receptionist didn't ask us how our stay was when we checked out (and had they done so I would have given this feedback there and then; not necessarily online) - they just took the key and then left reception to go somewhere else. Appreciate this may seem minor, but staff on reception should generally be checking everything was OK when you're leaving somewhere, as how else are they going to maintain good standards? Hard to justify the cost of the room if the standard of housekeeping is so poor. We stayed here for our anniversary as we also stayed here on the night of our wedding 6 years ago and it was wonderful then - shame we can't say the same this time. Would like to stay again in the future but not sure now.

Nice setting.
Nice location, beautiful house and welcoming staff and initial aesthetics.
Noisy and creaking bed...on even slight movements. Also, very small shower. And blinds not replaced......so a lot of light coming in.

Relaxed and very well looked after. Thankyou
We had a lovely welcome whe. We arrived and was shown up to our brilliant accommodation, very clean and nicely presented. The bed was probably the best we've had. The breakfast was nice and great service. Will definitely stay again 😊
One little negative but very small was that there was no skimmed milk for my wife to have a cuppa.

Salisbury stay
The staff were really helpful and friendly. The breakfast was fantastic. Room was comfortable and cosy.
Had a bit of trouble getting the hot water going. But we worked it out in the end.

Very conveniently sited for Salisbury and Wilton. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. Very helpful hosts.
Fridge still had previous guest's food in it.

Quiet gem
Fabulous little gem on the edge of town, but a simple walk-in if you want to discover Salisbury.
