La propreté de l’appartement, la gentillesse de l’hôte, la situation géographique proche du centre et de la plus vieille rue Skadarlia, tout en étant au calme pour dormir et se reposer.

The apartment is cute and nicely decorated, and the host’s son was helpful and responded to our needs as soon as he could. It is within easy reach of many restaurants and Republic Square, making it a very convenient base for exploring Belgrade.

First, the listing stated that cash payments were not accepted, but upon arrival, the host asked us to withdraw cash from a nearby ATM. This was quite stressful, as we were in a foreign country and unfamiliar with the local currency and exchange rates. It wasn’t a comfortable way to start our stay, and clearer payment information beforehand would have helped us prepare. Secondly, there was a noticeable cigarette smell in the living room, which I reported to the host on the morning of our second day. Unfortunately, the response was defensive, with the host questioning why I had not reported it on the first day. It took approximately two days for the smell to disappear completely, which negatively affected our comfort during the stay. Lastly, the mugs in the cupboard weren’t properly clean. Two still had tea or coffee stains.
