Welcome to the Matunuck Coastal Cabin, your cozy seaside escape at Village at Potter Pond in the heart of South Kingstown, Rhode Island. Nestled just steps from the water, this charming coastal retreat offers everything you love about beach living — salty air, unforgettable sunsets, fresh seafood, and the relaxing rhythm of life by the shore.
This quaint cabin is full of coastal charm and perfect for guests looking to unplug, unwind, and enjoy everything Matunuck has to offer. While the space is cozy and compact, it’s thoughtfully designed to make the most of every corner, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for families, couples, or small groups.
Inside, you’ll find:
2 cozy bedrooms
1.5 bathrooms
A bright sunroom with an additional full-size sleeper sofa
Relaxed coastal décor and plenty of natural light
Step outside and the best of Matunuck is right at your fingertips. Take an easy, flat 10-minute walk to the beach, where you can spend your mornings soaking in the sunrise and your evenings watching the sky glow over the water. After a day at the beach, rinse off the salt and sand in the convenient outdoor shower and settle back into relaxed coastal living. Just across the street is the world-famous Matunuck Oyster Bar, and only a few more steps bring you to Captain Jack’s for an additional option for waterfront dining and drinks.
New waterfront docks and benches within our community make the perfect spot to sit with a coffee, a cocktail, or simply enjoy the ocean breeze while boats drift by and the sun sets over the salt pond.
Outdoor spaces include:
A front deck with a table, two chairs, and umbrella
A cozy seating area just outside the back door
A spacious patio with a picnic table for six and umbrella — perfect for outdoor dinners, morning coffee, or relaxing after a beach day
An outdoor shower
One of the best parts of staying here is the welcoming, laid-back coastal community. Village at Potter Pond is known for being friendly and inviting to vacation renters, making it easy to settle in, relax, and feel part of the neighborhood from the moment you arrive.
As part of the authentic Matunuck experience, you may hear the gentle sounds of laughter, conversation, and coastal nightlife drifting from nearby restaurants — a subtle and enjoyable reminder that you’re in one of Rhode Island’s most beloved seaside communities.
Please note: Matunuck Oyster Bar is currently rebuilding following a fire, so occasional construction noise may be heard during daytime hours.
