The Willow Chester 4 Bedrooms Garden Parking - sleeps up to 8

Fabulous property & great decor, would definitely stay again & recommend- well thought out .

Location was £5.50 away from chester in an uber. There was good space in the dining and sleeping areas. There was onside parking with pub for food nearby. We had enough kitchen equipment to make meals and a dishwasher for cleaning afterwards. Beds were reasonably comfy with little usb powered fans next to them which were welcome. The property was clean and tidy and easy to find. Labels on draws and cabinets helped locate items..Double glazing kept out most of traffic noise so not too intrusive. Fridge worked well and we could make ice cubes. The hob is gas and was very good to use. View of canal with passing boats from upper level windows was nice. WiFi was good. Nice touch with old school vinyl record player in dining room and the design touches showed through the property. There was tea, coffee and Sugar and a few packets of rice and a box of wheat bix but very little milk.

The stairs from the basement kitchen and rear entrance were a problem. They are steep and narrow with a hand rail on one side only. The hand rail is in 2 sections and my hand missed a few times until I got used to it. Slight strain to my thumb so be careful. The front steps have no hand rails so difficult to negotiate for my partner who uses a stick. I think this may not be ideal for young children. I didn't see any access warning on description so might be my fault if I missed them. The main living room was ok for 2-4 people but the telly is tricky. We couldn't get terrestrial channels and couldn't turn off Polish narration on the films. We gave up on that. No easy access to canal tow path so a little disappointed. I think I had set my expectations a little high based on pictures and price but the cost covers the extra rooms I think so good value if there are 4 or more people. I only wrote the review due to the multiple requests. There was a lack of welcome folder so hunting for wifi password was fun. A bottle of milk and some bread or cake would have been a nice touch at this price point. We had a good break. Just be aware of the above.
