Royal Parade Apartment

Good location but noisy 😔

We arrived after a long journey and there was six key boxes. The key box to the flat was not marked so we had to try all of them with the pin number given. None of them worked. We had to spend time getting through to Cottages.com and then we're given another company who managed the flat. They were very helpful and we were told that we had been given the wrong pin number which was very annoying. This all took half an hour just to get into the flat which could have been avoided ! The flat was very spacious and had a huge TV. Unfortunately there was no Freeview as advertised so we couldn't watch any terrestrial TV channels. Not impressed at all with that as we were there for four days and there house hunting so we couldn't relax in the evening. The kitchen sink plug wasn't working so we had to wash up a few things again no attention to detail. There is a dishwasher which we did use but didn't want to use that for the few plates we used. The table was set for six places which looks lovely but totally impractical as this should have all been stocked in the kitchen. Again no thought given from customer point of view. In the bathroom which has en suite there was a musty damp smell which wasn't pleasant. The two central blinds weren't working properly. All in all we were disappointed with our stay and wouldn't stay there again.
