The property and location was five star. We stayed for 1 week and there is everything we wanted in the apartment. The beds were comfy. The kitchen well equipped. Sitting room, to and WiFi speed were all great.
The very best was the location. We had parking permits for our car right outside the house. However, we didn’t move the car once. We walked everywhere. There were a choice of restaurants, deli, small supermarket, coffee shop all within 5 mins walk. Betty’s famous tea shop was an 8 min walk away. Brilliant.
Valley gardens is a short walk away followed by some woods for some great walks.

The location and very clean
We were extremely cold as the heating didn't work for most of our stay. We did not report over the weekend since the information provided said to call only if there was an emergency and we would be fined if it was considered a non-emergency. When reported to host on the Monday there was little care or sympathy for our spoilt weekend.

The only thing I didn’t like was the cleaners were knocking on the door at 10.10 wanting in and our check out time was 11.00 and just felt a bit rushed

Great location which was really close to the town centre so lovely to walk into town each day. Really good base to explore Harrogate and the surrounding area. Great range of places for food nearby on Cold Bath Road and in town. Good parking usually right outside the property. Good to have a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Large range of kitchenware in the kitchen if you do want to cook.
Sadly quite a lot. The biggest thing that made staying here far from ideal was the continuous and overwhelming smell of damp. Whilst I appreciate that the property is old and damp is a common challenge for these kinds of conversions, as soon as you entered the property, the musty smell hit you. The back bedroom very strongly smelt of damp and worst of all was the bathroom, which was very hard to ventilate and the stench was really pungent, making us feel sick and rendering it really unpleasant to use despite the fact the shower was actually a really good shower. In addition, despite the company saying they left properties cleaned to a very high standard, we had to clean when we arrived as there were crumbs all over the kitchen worktop, table and floor, the cutlery in the drawer was dirty and there were some hairs in the bed linen. The whole place was also fairly dusty and it clearly hadn’t been hoovered in a while. The toilet brush in the bathroom was broken and dirty. There was mould on the tiles in the bathroom and the blinds in the bedroom kept falling off too. Whilst this property also does have WiFi, the signal was intermittent and watching something that should’ve lasted 20 mins on iPlayer one evening actually took 45 mins as the connection kept dropping. The markings on the oven have worn off so unless you bother to look in the manual, cooking is a faff too. Thank goodness for so many good eateries in Harrogate. It’s a shame, this place has so much potential but we wouldn’t stay here again, despite loving Harrogate.

Well located near pubs and restaurants. Also Sainsbury within 200m.
Restaurant next door empty bottles into the bins out back late at night right outside the second bedroom door and window. Very inconsiderate.
