Castle (Levi)

Quiet, really good sleep, comfy beds nice towels. Very good communication

Only one mug in the kitchen. Ironing board but no iron. Would be good to have a hairdryer and more toiletries in the bathroom

Location was perfect for our needs on this trip, being close to public transport, restaurants and the Broad Street Mall. We booked this property at the last minute after being let down when a booking for another property fell through. It is one of very few centrally located 3br properties in Reading. Communication with agent was good.

I guess people have differing definitions of ‘luxe’, because this property didn’t meet mine. There were minor irritants that could be so easily fixed. For example, no plugs for the kitchen and bathroom sinks, no iron (although there is an ironing board) and only 1 coffee cup for a booking for 4 people (we went out and bought some, which we left for future guests). Providing a house manual with details of simple things like when rubbish is collected, etc. would be handy. Older guests, or those with children or disabilities, should be aware that the property contains very narrow and steep stairs which will not suit everyone. I injured my knee on this trip (not at the property) and found the stairs difficult to navigate.
