The lockbox - it didn’t open even after entering the correct code for five minutes, so we contacted the host, but his response was very slow. We had the correct code, and it eventually opened after we were told to shake the lockbox. The lockbox clearly needs to be replaced. We are used to using lockboxes, but this one was very difficult to open and close. The worst part was that the host didn’t respond quickly, so if you’re traveling with small children, I can imagine it could result in a very long wait. The house layout is very unique. Entrance: The entrance is tiny — maybe around 50 cm x 70 cm(?) — with 13 very steep steps leading upstairs. If you are carrying a suitcase, it would be very difficult to get up. There is a space for a baby gate, so I assume they would install one for families with small children. 1st floor: Bathroom and washing machine. 2nd floor: Kitchen, dining room, and living room, plus a toilet and wash basin. 3rd floor: Two bedrooms with steep stairs without a handrail. There is no baby gate. Bedroom 1: Three double beds. Bedroom 2: One double bed with a small sitting area. Shinkansen (bullet trains) pass by every 3–5 minutes, so the 2nd floor shakes every time they pass. The noise is not too bad because the trains move very quickly, but if you are sensitive to movement or noise, you may not be able to sleep well. Someone with knee, foot, or back problems may have difficulty staying here because of the steep stairs and the overall layout.
