The house is very beautiful and impressive. It is well renovated recreating the original atmosphere with all the features. It is very clean and well maintained. It offers excellent facilities. The host is very friendly and knowledgeable.

The Velev House is a must for anyone coming to stay in Melnik. The care in which the owners have taken in their renovations is obvious and it makes for a very special stay. It was fun to hear about the history too. And the breakfast - while simple - was delicious. We've never had a pancake quite like that. Melnik itself is special and a stay at the Velev house makes it even more special.
It wasn't entirely obvious if we were at the right location when we arrived. A sign in English would be helpful.

Das Haus, welches über 500 Jahre alt ist, wurde von dem Besitzer, einem Künstler, mit viel Liebe zum Detail wieder aufgebaut. Viele Schnitzereien, liebevoll gestaltete Zimmer und ein perfekter Gastgeber runden das Bild ab. Wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen und haben uns auch über die sehr guten Tips zu Restaurants und Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung sehr gefreut.
