Nomad Gala Otaru

This is a beautiful, well-maintained wooden house with a long history. The host mentioned she moved in less than two years ago, and I really loved the warm, lived-in atmosphere. The host was kind and welcoming throughout my stay. Although we booked a small room, it was spacious and very comfortable, with a lovely view outside the window. The house is quiet and slightly remote, which made the stay feel peaceful and relaxing. The bathroom and toilet are downstairs, there was hot water. After a long day, I really appreciated that the host offered to prepare a simple home-cooked meal (for an additional charge), which was both thoughtful and delicious.

THESE POINTS DID NOT BOTHER ME PERSONALLY :)) just as a note for improvement or future guests in case they may not have noticed the listing details. As it is an older house, it can be a bit cooler than modern homes in winter, the bedding was sufficient but having additional heating in the room would make the stay even more comfortable. The walk from the bus station is manageable, with some uphill and downhill, though it might be slightly less convenient when carrying heavy bag or luggage. It is about a 20-minute bus ride to Otaru city, which is still quite accessible.

The room is kinda cold and the location is a bit far from the city center but if you have your own vehicle, then it won’t be a problem.
