I highly recommend it

The accommodation is much nicer than in the pictures. I recommend taking new pictures! The city center is easily accessible on foot. It would not be possible to get in by car and there are few accommodations with parking spaces in the city. The accommodation was very nice and peaceful. The staff is extra nice. For breakfast, you could pre-select the croissant that was waiting on our table. I highly recommend it!

Great place to stay in Merano

I really liked our stay at The Philippinum - my single room was bright and spacious, and very warm. I really appreciate that the single room had this kind of quality. My room had a sunny balcony with great views on the valley. The walk into town takes about 15-20 min and is very pleasant. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good. Given the good value for money also, this place deserves a 10 and I hope to be back one day.

Pleasant villa-style hotel in a calm, residential area

Nicely situated hotel in the residential area of Meran at about 20 min walk of the centre. A close by bus will also bring you there. The rooms are practically furnished, from the terrace one enjoys a nice view to the city and surrounding mountains. The area is absolutely calm and one can enjoy a good sleep. Parking is free and easy in the hotel’s garage. The personel is welcoming. You will get at the reception a ‘Meran Card’ which offers you free entry to many museums in the whole of southern Tyrol.

When it is very hot in summer one misses an air conditioning in the room.

It was a comfortable stay; very clean and very friendly staff.

I liked that it was in a quite area, surrounded by great views. We had a balcony and we had amazing views of the mountains. The staff was very friendly; the room was very clean and smelling great; the WiFi worked pretty well. It also gave us bus transportation passes that allowed us go and use all the buses to the city.

Very good

Nice place not too far from city center. We arrived in the afternoon and visited the castle and city center, but did not use the facilities (except the garage which is underground under the garden), because we only stayed one night. Centre is at walking distance and hotel is located in a very quiet environment.

Abbiamo alloggiato solo per un giorno, il Personale è stato molto gentile e accogliente dall'inizio e ha spiegato tutto nel dettaglio! Disponibile un ottimo parcheggio coperto, La camera semplice ma pulita. Colazione discreta con dolce e salato L'hotel si trova a circa 15 minuti a piedi dal centro ma disponibile pass gratuito per spostarsi con i mezzi dato dall'hotel..per alloggio di pochi giorni consigliatissimo !

Una bella soluzione, posto semplice ma con tutte le comodità. Parcheggio coperto e piuttosto grande. Stanze essenziali e pulite.

Sauber aber leider in die Jahre gekommen

Lage, 20 min zu Fuss. Ist ok. Parkplatz gratis in Garage. Es gab Bewertungen, die den Empfang oder die Mitarbeiterin dort als unfreundlich beschrieben haben. Das stimmt nicht. Sehr freundlich, alles kompetent rüber gebracht. Und aktiv bei Abreise nach Feedback gefragt, rechne ich hoch an. Macht sonst kein anderes Hotel. Obwohl alles sehr alt ist, ist es sehr sauber.

Mein Feedback war: abgewohnte alte Zimmer. Ohne Flair. Alte Möbel, ziemlich spartanisch. Von aussen hätte man das nicht erwartet. Es sollte alles renoviert werden. Auch der Parkettboden in den Zimmern gehört schon lange neu versiegelt. Man ist sich dessen wohl bewusst und fängt wohl auch mit der Renovation an. Wollen wir es hoffen. Wäre sonst schade um dieses Haus und die schöne Aussenanlage.

Schönes Hotel in toller Lage.

Das Hotel liegt in ruhiger Lage, etwa 15 Minuten zu Fuss vom Zentrum. Die Aussicht vom Zimmer im 3.Stock ist grossartig. Der Balkon ist mit sehr bequemen Stühlen und einer Sonnenstore ausgerüstet. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet und reichhaltig. Besonders geschmeckt haben die Vinschger Paarlen Brote. Das Hotel hat einem grossen Garten und eine Terasse für Kaffee und Kuchen.
