The walls are a bit thin so easy to hear. I was woken up by someone on speaker phone in the main common area outside my room before 8am.

Located right in town. Room was very spacious. Water pressure was very good. Able to hang dry cloths that we wash from the window. Awesome view of sunrise from the breakfast room. Good spread of food for breakfast.

No kettle or fridge in the room. Our room was 119 steep steps from street level. No offer to help with our bags by lady who showed us the room, even though one bag weigh less than 10 lbs. Coffee is dispensed from a machine but no one is allowed to touch it. Service at breakfast is not at all friendly - food all cold except for hard boiled eggs. When requested to heat up pancake or croissant, was told not possible even thought there is a table top oven there. Yet to find an instance of service with a smile, during our 5 day stay - it does not cost anything…🤗

Beautiful room / hotel in the centre of Vanezza - highly recommended.

Central hotel, right down by beach / port area. Exceptional location if you are looking to have everything outside your hotel but still on a quiet street a little off the main square near the castle. From our room, we had wonderful views of the town, beach area, church, etc. From the check in area (bar/restaurant), you will have to climb up near the castle where the rooms are located. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom. The breakfast offering was very good and the breakfast area was on the cliffs with amazing views of the sea. Check in is through the bar right off the square. It may get a little hectic if you come in around lunch / dinner time. Can't beat the location and standard for the price we paid. We ate in the restaurant, which was quite good.

Terrasse und die Frühstücksterrasse mit Blick aufs Meer hat uns gefallen. Das Frühstück war sehr gut für Italien. Zimmer und Bad waren sauber. Betten ok. Ansonsten kommt es darauf an was man selber möchte.

Unser Zimmer lag im 2. Stock und genau vor unserem Zimmer war ein Gemeinschaftsraum der natürlich bis kurz vor Mitternacht genutzt wurde zum Leidwesen unseres Schlafes. Da gehört ein Raum meines Erachtens nicht hin, da das Hotel auch sehr hellhörig war. Preisleistung stimmt nicht. Zu teuer.

PERFECTION!

Location, the view from the deck, friendly staff at the bar, great restaurant. A bit pricey (high season), but totally worth every penny. It’s the best place to stay in Vernazza, place with history, the founder Gianni is a very special person in the history of tourism in Cinque Terre and Vernazza. Their restaurant was recommended to me by a local, and food was amazing, they really care about quality.

Nothing, everything was perfect. But I would strongly recommend you to pack lighter, do not bring heavy stuff, there is a LOT of stairs on the way to your room

Rooms were spotless & cleaned well every day. Breakfast with a magnificent view was great, good selection & service.

Rooms very quite noisy due to hard echoing floors so everyone that came to their room made a lot of noise. It was hard not to.

Great location, scrumptious breakfast - tiny rooms

The location was good and close to the water, so we were able to swim often. The breakfast overlooking the sea was top notch-the views and variety of food were outstanding.

Our rooms were small, cramped and dark without air flow (there is no air conditioning) so it was barely ok for sleeping. Our room was above the walkway so it was loud with people walking by; I’d make sure you request a quiet room.

A gem in Vernazza!

The staff is excellent! They were very professional friendly very accommodating and helpful! Our room was very clean and quaint. The location was right off the plaza. We also enjoyed eating at the restaurant as well as a nice breakfast on the terrace with an absolutely incredible view!

They mention stairs and these were a bit challenging in the heat.

They need to work on their customer service.

We brought 14 ppl. and has specific requests for each room, and not all requests were met. The empolyee was argumentative, and never offered a simple apology, she just repeated her argument. She could have simpley said, " I'm sorry that we are unable to help you." But never did. The view in the dining area was amazing!

Some rooms were much more comfortable than others. We had to pay some off-the-street guy to carry our bags - the hotel had no or made no effort to assist us with our bags to be carried up 150 steps. We had some seniors traveling with us that really struggled and the hotel did nothing to help. And we had to pay this guy $10 a bag. Not that he didn't deserve it, but it was a complete surprise that if we wanted help, that it was going to be that much money.

Either I didnt research it well enough or its not advertised well enough, the climb up to the hotel is very steep. Normally I would not care, but when you are traveling far and have heavy luggage, you have to be prepared to carry it up hundred or so steps. Maybe consider having some young strapping men to help the patrons with their luggage.

Quite a climb to get to the room. Good for fitness but should perhaps mentioned in your hotel details. Also the room we were in would have benefited from another mirror in the main bedroom.

Seniors stay at Gianni Franzi

There are quite a few exterior steps, but there are pauses and changes of direction to take a rest. Breakfasts were great. We had to check out before breakfast opened and were very kindly provided with “take out” pastries and beverages the night prior. We required gluten free due to an allergy that was well accommodated. Checking staff guided us to our room. Pleased that we chose this locale very close to the square. There is a small upper common area we met others at, that during the rainy cool weather was damp and cool. Nice patio on the smallish side, along the sea.
