Milford Garden House

We were a family of 5 and took 2 rooms downstairs. There was a bathroom with laundry and a separate toilet downstairs too. There was also a 3rd bedroom as a staff bedroom. There was also a kitchenette with a jug, fridge and microwave which was nice. The breakfast included was basic but good value for money. The rooms were bright and very clean. It suited us for our one night stay heading up north.

Despite being in email communication on the day, when we arrived the host was out and the son who was home was not aware we were staying. Once we sorted the initial confusion we had a good nights sleep and headed off on the morning.

The room is warm and serene and the garden is nice. It would be lovely in warmer weather. A light Continental breakfast is offered. Free WIFI. Take slippers as you will be asked to remove your shoes.

A youth talking loudly on speaker phone next door in the staff room late at night. No television. No soap or place to hang a towel in the toilet room (shared bathroom could be occupied by another guest).

Clean well-presented room. Garden access. Private corner. Good stock-up pantry/mini kitchen. Roomy bathroom. Comfy firm bed. Very friendly and accommodating hosts. Close to bus-stops & exchange. Quick ride into CBD.

Can be a bit noisy given being a storey family house.

Great value for money, very friendly host and comfortable bed with handy free parking.

Noise from upstairs was a distraction, snoring is one of my pet peeves.
