About this apartment rental

Situated at Riverview, Ord, you will certainly feel relaxed at this peaceful Annexe on the beautiful Sleat Peninsula.
There are a wealth of amenities, eateries and attractions on South Skye, and we are within easy reach of other popular areas further North.

Offering spacious, well equipped rooms you're assured a great break. Whether climbing, hiking or touring this is a great base to do it from. It's also a perfect place to watch wildlife and for artists to paint in peace.

As The Annexe at Riverview is on one floor there are no stairs to negotiate. It can also be accessed via a gentle ramp, making it ideal for guests who may have mobility needs.

There are 2 bedrooms; 1 double with ensuite, 1 twin with house bathroom (all towels and linens are provided). There is a kitchen, lounge with dining table and a patio area.

Accessed via the kitchen, there's a boot tray, coat and luggage storage and lovely outdoor seating area on the large decking. There's a TV and a range of books and games in the lounge. There is wifi at the Annexe.

I can assist you with laundry if necessary (for a fee). I can provide special hampers on request (charges apply).

We are just a 2 minute walk from Ord Beach and Loch Eishort making it an ideal base from which to paint, watch wildlife, wild swim or simply enjoy the sunset. We are fortunate to be in a particularly quiet and peaceful area (4 miles along a single track road) well away from the throng of tourism, ensuring you of a restful stay after busy days of exploring. The most traffic you will encounter are the cows and sheep that freely roam the moors. The Sea/Golden Eagles are often spotted here, along with deer and occasionally otters. There are lovely views over the moors and the famous Cuillin (red and black) mountain range. These attract climbers/holders from around the world with their sheer technical demand.

I provide bathroom toiletries, loo paper, all bedding and in the fully equipped kitchen you will find a welcome hamper (eggs, biscuits, milk, crisps, crumpets), some condiments as well as tea, coffee and sugar. There is a microwave, airfryer, coffee pod machine (tassimo pods not provided), oven, fridge, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. All crockery etc is provided.

Our water is from a spring, is triple filtered, UV treated and regularly tested. As on all of Skye, after heavy rain, it can be slightly timed by the peat it runs through. This does not affect the quality or taste.

There is free parking for up to 2 cars. There is a key safe by the kitchen door at the rear, the code to which will be sent prior to arrival. I live on site so am generally around for arrivals and can answer any questions you may have.

There is also a comprehensive information folder for you to browse. There is no washing machine in the annexe, however there is a laundrette at Kyle of Lochalsh or I can assist for a fee.

Most importantly is for you to allow plenty of time to explore this magical island. There really is so much to see and I would recommend at least a 3 night stay.

Be sure to bring midge repellent with you and prior to arrival, collect some groceries at either Kyle of Lochalsh, Broadford or Malaig depending upon your route.

My Short Term let Licence number (a legal requirement in Scotland for accommodation providers) is HI-30890-F

I look forward to giving you a very warm welcome to Riverview. Any questions just ask. [email protected]
Best wishes Andrea
