About this house rental
The space
Gillean House has been recently renovated and provides modern spacious accommodation for 6 guests whilst retaining wonderful characteristics of it's 200 year heritage. Gillean or Gillen House, was built in 1803 by Dr. Alasdair MacDonald. The house was known for its many ceilidhs and dances. There is historical information about the house at the Armadale Museum.
LIVING SPACE: Large living room with beautiful views to the sea. 2 couches, chair, and large screen TV.
KITCHEN: Spacious kitchen fully equipped with stove, oven, microwave, range, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
BEDROOMS: 3 large bedrooms located upstairs. Two bedrooms with king size beds and a third bedroom with two twin beds.
BATHROOMS: Modern bathroom downstairs with bathtub and shower head, shower upstairs and handy toilet in the entry way. Laundry facilities available in entry area.
GARDEN: Private and expansive garden with sea and hill views. Off street parking. Picnic bench available for use. Easy access to the beach.
Guest access
Gillean House is a home from home and guests are welcome to use all areas of the property.
Other things to note
As Gillean House is not located within a village, it is important guests plan accordingly. The nearest grocery store is located 15 minutes away in Armadale and offers basic provisions. Larger shops are located in Broadford and Fort William. The nearest cafes and restaurants are also a 15-20 minute drive from the house.
