The village of Ölendorf, where our vacation rental is located, is set apart from the larger tourist destinations yet remains centrally located.
Approx. 2 km from the Baltic Sea coast and the beautiful sandy beach in Ostermade.
Which is perfect for swimming, walking, playing, and more.
In the summer, there’s a section of the beach supervised by the DLRG.
Our long-cherished dream finally came true in 2023.
We found our thatched-roof house.
In the woodshop at our old home, we crafted solid-wood furniture (oak, cherry, ash, maple, pear) and brought it to Ostholstein to create a cozy atmosphere in the vacation rental.
To capture the charm of living in a thatched-roof building, we’ve furnished this spacious, uniquely designed vacation rental for up to eight people.
It features a spacious living room with a dining area, a loft, and a kitchen. A wood-burning stove stands in the center.
One bedroom (oak) with a double bed, a reading nook, and a small desk.

The vacation rental has its own entrance.
The entryway features a small seating area where you can relax outdoors, and smokers will find an ashtray available upon request.
From the entryway and around the thatched-roof house (Am Hut), there is a small garden gate that leads to a small garden with a patio and seating areas, available for your use in the summer.
Parking is available for one car or motorcycle; parking for a second vehicle is available upon request.
You can store your bicycles in the bike shed.
The bike path to Ostermade—leading to the beach, a small supermarket (during the summer months), and a restaurant—starts right behind our house.
