The place must have been recently refurbished - it was so incredibly clean, especially in the bathroom.
The host, Antonio, was absolutely wonderful. He replied on booking.com within two minutes each time we contacted him. He was very approachable and helpful. Antonio also owns a restaurant right below the apartment so can pop up in minutes if required.
The rooms actually look like the pictures: this might be a first for booking.com! They are nicely furnished and extremely spacious. We felt very safe in them as well.
If we are back in Milan we will stay here again!
Trams do go below past the bedroom window but you're on the second floor so it was not an issue for us. This could bother some people, but we slept fine.
