Very clean and functional.
It might be far for some people with walking difficulties if walking to the Duomo, however the Porta Romana metro station is very close.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The location was excellent—just a short walk from the Porta Romana metro station, and main public transportation, making it easy to explore the city while still enjoying a quiet and authentic neighborhood. We loved the high ceilings, the original wooden doors, and all the architectural details which gave the place a unique and special feel. It combined historic elegance with modern comfort perfectly. The flat was comfortable, clean and well maintained and we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The espresso was a definite plus (great coffee ☕). We would highly recommend this property and would gladly stay here again!

Asides issues with air conditioning, apartments is good.
There is no air conditioner, only some strange substitute which is really loud and didn't cool off the apartments well. The floor is squeaky, for this money these issues could be resolved.
