Pheonix Cottage on Glastonbury Tor

Really great location, super comfy bed! Like the mosquito net around the bed...means you can have windows open in the heat and not worry!

On quite a noisy road but you get use to that, and location makes up for it. Tiny niggle would be nice to have a mirror upstairs to put make up on, rather than downstairs bathroom.

The house is lovely , simple but personality , very user friendly , great energy , in a great location . Beds are so comfy ! Would stay again happily and recommend :-) Plenty of hot water for showers or bath .Towels provided . The kitchen is well equiped and user friendly. The lounge is comfortable . The instructions were clear and precise with regards to finding the key etc very friendly.

There were a couple of small niggles , free parking is hit and miss I didn't park near the cottage till nearly 8pm (I didnt go out and check constantly ), Parking isnt guarenteed . The nearest carpark is close and costs £6 a day ( which i think is reasonable ,they told us that there was a a convention and wedding that day so super busy ) . Also the cottage is listed on air bnb and with that comes all the additional rules that Booking.com doesnt generally have and whilst I am happy to leave a place as much as possible as I find it I dont expect extra rules sent via message and not on the original listing . It was very polite and friendly but felt like an air bnb booking not booking.com .

Beautiful little cottage right at the foot of the Tor and by the White Spring and Chalice Well. Very clean and cosy. The beds, a double and single were lovely. Yes, its on a busy road but at night it did go much quieter. Wifi worked well. Ideal for exploring Glastonbury Lovely help and communicatiom from the owner. Lovely.

No major dislikes at all. Didn't mind there was no TV, as we loved the peace. A radio may be good though. Parking is opposite at the end of a lane but there was no room when we arrived. There was later in the day, so we moved the car from a spot further up the road. Just to be aware if guaranteed parking spots are your priority.

Close enough to town and Tor. Kitchen had plenty of cups and plates. Just down from the chalice well if you need a bit of calm. (Features in many of the pictures....)

On a busy road with very large trucks thundering past. Sunday was noticeably better tho. Bed was not comfortable, tho this is obviously subjective. Pictures on listing misleading. It's not that bright inside and there is no outside space. Parking was challenging but then we knew that before booking. Be aware that being an old cottage there are low doorways.
