Located in a rural spot with great views, Liz’s place was welcoming, comfortable and unique. The breakfast was delicious and had a variety of choice. The room was clean, spacious and had great amenities. We have recommended to family & hope to come back soon!

Where to start? Words are not enough to describe how much we loved our stay at Cragg House. We had the most amazing and unforgettable 4 days. This property is a little pocket of heaven in the middle of Cumbrian landscape. It is your typical rural retreat which offers peace, tranquility and connection to nature surrounded by breathtaking and scenic views of rolling hills and dramatic vistas. Despite the feeling of escape from the world, you are only minutes away from the Lake District major towns of Bowness, Windermere and Kendal. We have been to many hotels and accommodations all over the world but Cragg House offered something magical and extraordinary. The bed was so comfortable, the room was immaculate, decor tastefully and meticulously done, and the cooked breakfast was the best using local products. We particularly and thoroughly enjoyed the warm home made bread and cakes! The hospitality is top notch and exceptional. Liz has gone above and beyond to make us feel so welcomed and at home she even made my husband's 40th birthday so special by making homemade lemon cake with fresh strawberries! What a treat! Liz was also very knowledgable of local spots and restaurants. One of the restaurants she recommended was Hole in t wall pub where we had a scrumptious dinner, a must visit when in Bowness We would definitely and highly recommend Cragg House, where you are guaranteed a 5 star and luxurious treatment with the warmth, kindness and comforts of home ♥️

Liz was an excellent host. She provided an amazing breakfast. The bedroom and en-suite were extremely well fitted out and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. Beautiful views of the fields from the bedroom window.
