Cozy one-bed apartment in the heart of Penzance

Great location in a beautiful street in Penzance with the best bakery (Loafs) right next door. The apartment was cosy and clean with all we needed

The flat is above an excellent greengrocers if you need provisions and in a central location. You collect the keys at the door to an alleyway and proceed through the alleyway to the external doorway of the flat. The alleyway was a storage area for bins, bin bags, ladders etc and was quite messy but don’t let this put you off as the flat is perfect. It was very quiet, clean, and well equipped with a comfortable bed. Kitchen was well equipped with crockery etc and also had a microwave,fridge/freezer and cooker. We didn’t use the cooker. Shower room was also very clean with a good shower. We’d definitely like to stay here again if we return to this area.

We stayed for 3 nights and after the 2nd night the hot water was cold! It hadn’t been piping hot since we’d arrived but we assumed that’s what the thermostat was set at and then we realised there was a switch by the water tank that had been switched off. We msg the host who responded very quickly and couldn’t understand why it was off. However, when we returned in the evening the hot water was scalding and we then understood why it had previously been turned off so we did the same. Maybe the hot water thermostat could be turned to another setting so this doesn’t happen!

The apartment was super clean and very centrally located, close to everything. The host was very kind to let me in well before check-in time; I will definitely return.
