NYC Guesthouse 3 provides a great stay at a very economical price. Check-in was easy. The staff were responsive. The bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom were spotless. And if you need to be in that area of Manhattan, the location is particularly helpful. If you plan on being further downtown or midtown, MTA is not far away.

I liked it all.

On the positive side, the hotel is conveniently located about a 20-minute walk from Central Park. The kitchen was clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything needed to prepare a meal. It was a pleasant and convenient space to use. The room was fairly clean, EXCEPT for BLACK HAIRS found throughout the room, especially in the bed linens, which was quite unpleasant.

!soundproofing! The biggest problem was the almost complete lack of soundproofing. I could hear every word from the neighboring room. Every step was transmitted through the floor and walls, and I could literally feel the vibrations in my bed. The floor creaked terribly with every movement and clearly needs to be repaired or restored. At times, the noise and vibrations were so intense that I woke up frightened, thinking that something was collapsing. The air conditioner and refrigerator were also extremely noisy. When everything happened at the same time — the appliances, the creaking floor, footsteps, and vibrations from the neighboring room — it was simply unbearable. It felt almost like being on a runway when a plane is taking off. Proper rest was impossible. !shower! The shower was another major issue. It felt like a tiny, enclosed cell or a well, with only a small opening in the ceiling. There was absolutely nowhere to keep clothes or personal belongings dry while showering — no cabinet, shelf, compartment, or waterproof storage area. In practice, the shower seems designed for a person to enter completely naked, because there is no practical way to keep your clothes and belongings protected from water. This is very inconvenient for a guesthouse and needs a much better solution. !bedding! The bedding was another serious problem: extremely synthetic, almost silicone-like, stained, and covered in BLACK HAIRS . It was unpleasant against the skin, did not breathe at all, and created a strong static-electricity sensation. I felt hot and uncomfortable, and my body was constantly itching.
