About this house rental
Our family’s connection to this house goes back more than 90 years. We are siblings and this house is part of our heritage and whilst we no longer live locally, we want to share this special place with others. We love walking and the house provides the perfect base, for this.
Set on the edge of the historic village of Cawood, the house enjoys a peaceful setting opposite the river and close to the village church. Cawood itself is a charming, friendly village with a rich history, once home to the Archbishops of York. Guests can stroll to the café, pubs, and local shop, or enjoy scenic riverside and countryside walks right from the door. The vibrant city of York is just a short drive away, offering world-class heritage, independent shops, and excellent restaurants.
The surrounding area is ideal for exploring the landscapes and coastline of North Yorkshire, from the rolling Howardian Hills, the Yorkshire Moors and the seaside at Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby and Scarborough.
