Intercity Hotel Shanghai Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street The Bund

The location is great and an easy walk to the Nanjing Road pedestrian shopping area and the Bund. The building is quiet with the windows closed, even with my room facing the road. The front desk staff was very helpful and efficient with getting our delivery packages. The breakfast has lots of options, and there are night snacks as well. I loved the free plum juice drink in the lobby; the taste is exactly how I remember it from my childhood. The 24-hour laundry room is also very convenient.

There were a few areas that need improvement. The room service staff seemed to need more training. They threw away the packing paper for my shoes that was lying on the table, assuming it was trash. They also rearranged the items on my table and put some receipts into a plastic bag. Generally, staff should not throw away or move personal belongings before a guest checks out.Additionally, the staff working in the 24-hour laundry room were not helpful. One attendant put my clothes in the dryer even though I explicitly labeled the tag as "Wash Only." Another person put someone else's laundry into the dryer without removing my clothes first, causing me to panic thinking my clothes were lost. Finally, an attendant folded my clean laundry directly on the bench instead of using a clean laundry basket, so I had to rewash everything.

Wir hatten ein geräumiges, sauberes und sehr ruhiges Deluxe-Zimmer. Das Frühstück war hervorragend mit einer großen Auswahl an lokalen und westlichen Speisen. Die Lage ist perfekt: Nur wenige Gehminuten zur Fußgängerzone und zum Bund, dennoch ruhig gelegen. Didi-Abholung und -Transfer waren jederzeit problemlos möglich. Das gesamte Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und empfehlen das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiter.

Es gibt nur zwei Aufzüge, die zu Stoßzeiten häufig stark ausgelastet waren.

Clean, room is considerably large with good facilities. The hotel provides self servive laundry facility & the toilet has bidet which a plus point. There are many halal restaurants within walking distance from the hotel.
