La ferme est une ancienne ferme de plus 300 ans rénovée avec un très grand goût en gardant l'essentiel de l'original. L'accueil de Stefan fut plus qu'aimable. Un petit-déjeuner comme cela je n'avais jamais vu, extraordinaire tellement il était complet. Un moment passé avec Stefan et vous apprenez plein de choses intéressantes sur la région.

I decided to stay a night with my wife and son at BnB Sonder afetr reading reviews on booking.com. The experience well exceeded our expectations. Firstly this is Stefan's house and as a guest in his house you have bedrooms and share a bathroom with him. Stefan works very hard to pamper his guests. We were welcomed with chocolates on our pillows and towels and a bowl of fresh fruit in each bedroom. The rooms in this 300 year old renovated farmhouse are unique. Old thick wooden walls and doors which are authentic dated but so well renovated that you feel comfortable. The view from each room and the outside dining table is incredible. Stefan woke up early and made a tremendous breakfast including milk from a freshly milked cow and an array of food and Stefan's special muesli mix. We sat while Stefan attended to us for a long two hour breakfast. He is very chatty and we learned a lot about him and the area. We were treated as honoured guests in Stefan's beautiful home. We had dinner in Appenzell. A tip - get there early. By 9 pm we had the bar menu but it was tasty.

The Sonder has one of the most spectacular alpine views we have ever seen from a B&B. The proprietor, Stefan, goes to great ends to make your stay comfortable and memorable. He prepares a wonderful breakfast of Swiss breads, cheeses, homemade yougurt, meats & cheeses. He is a very attentive host.

We had a small room without its own bathroom. We had to go up and down steep stairs to a bathroom on the ground floor. But keep in mind that this is a recently renovated two hundred-year-old Swiss farmhouse, so what can you expect? If you're looking for luxury and lots of amenities, look somewhere else! But if you're looking for an authentic stay in a gorgeous Swiss setting, the Sonder is your you!
