Ardachy Riverside Accessible One bedroom Holiday let

A lovely little holiday cottage in an idyllic location and a lovely host! The house is immaculate and very cozy even without the log burner going. The big window is perfect for wildlife and bird lovers so that even when the Scottish weather is at its worst, you have a cozy and beautiful vista of forest, river and animals to watch. Be aware that the WiFi for the whole area can drop out frequently due to the community still waiting for fibre broadband to be installed. We didn't find this an issue as the area around the cottage was so beautiful that it was the perfect place to have a little detox from technology. We barely used the TV when it was light out anyway but it also has freessy! We saw chaffinches, tree creepers, nuthatches, buzzards, robins, blue tits, and great tits not to mention the many many partridges and pheasants that can be seen in the field from the back door and at the front of the property. We weren't lucky enough to spot any deer, pine martens or red squirrels but we did see one of the local hedgehogs. Nigel is a very friendly and attentive host. It's obvious that he's put a lot or heart and hardwork into making the cottage and the surrounding habitats a paradise for both holidaymakers and the local animals. A truly lovely place and lovely host!

Our stay was simply fabulous. From the very first moment, it is clear that this house has been thoughtfully designed and carefully planned. Everything has been created to be comfortable, practical, and enjoyable, and every detail reflects an exceptional attention to quality. The materials, finishes, and furnishings are outstanding. The décor deserves a special mention: it combines vintage furniture with remarkable style, creating a unique, cosy, and charming atmosphere. It is obvious that the owner has excellent taste, as everything fits together perfectly. The kitchen is fully equipped and lacks absolutely nothing. It has everything you need to cook comfortably, including utensils, pans, an oven, a coffee machine, a kettle, as well as a washing machine and dryer. It is one of those homes where you could stay for days without ever missing a thing. The house also features a lovely fireplace, independent climate control so you can set the temperature exactly as you like, and several outdoor areas, both at the front and in the rear courtyard, where you can enjoy peace, privacy, and complete freedom. Another aspect we loved was the lighting. There are different, carefully designed lighting options throughout the house that create warm and inviting atmospheres at any time of day, adding even more character to the space. In addition, the bathroom has been designed to accommodate guests with reduced mobility, enhancing comfort and accessibility without compromising on style or functionality. The owner is charming, welcoming, and extremely kind. He personally showed us around the property, was always available to answer any questions, and is a wonderful person to chat with. The location has a special charm of its own. Surrounded by nature, in a peaceful and quiet setting, with a river nearby and a sense of tranquillity that is hard to find. Although it is somewhat secluded, that is precisely part of its appeal.
