Ardgay

The apartment was in a excellent place to visit Loch ness and the accommodation was fantastic.

Everything was great

So convenient for shops & restaurants. Peaceful & calming being able to see the boats move along the canal from lounge window. Enjoyed dry weather too so we walked a distance along the canal taking in the views of beautiful hills & surroundings. Loved the personal touch of home baking from Linda. Tbh it was like "home from home" ...we felt so comfortable. It was nice of host to pop by to ensure we had no issues which we didnt. Would highly recommend this property so clean & everything you'd need if you decided to cook a meal ( altho we didn't as restaurants a 2 min walk away).

Nothing

Lovely and in a great location, the accommodation had everything we needed, and was really spacious and comfortable, really enjoyed our stay.

There wasn't anything to dislike.

Fort Augustus is a remote yet surprisingly charming town. Its high street is lined with inviting pubs and cafés, and there are more people around than one might expect for such a small town. Ardgay is conveniently located nearby, making it a well-positioned base for exploring the area.

On the downside, the property felt quite dated and wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. There was a noticeable musty smell throughout, and overall, it felt a bit overpriced for what was offered.
