Location is excellent with view of canal and boats Parking on site. Close to restaurants and bars Plenty of living space and bright kitchen Well appointed kitchen No table but kitchen bar. Really only comfortably sits 3 people Heating was too high but excellent response from owner who switched it off Multiple channels on TV but need operating instructions please

Only 1 bathroom for 4 adults a bit tight However the main issue was 2 rolls loo paper for 4 adults for 4 days Second bedroom is small and has too much furniture Tv here but no wall sockets. Poor mattress.

The cottage is in an excellent position for all that Fort Augustus has to offer from canal boat watching to walks, restaurants, pubs and shops. The cottage was very clean and modern with good sized rooms and a lounge that looks out onto the locks. Good sized decking area and a well kept grass area. On site parking is definitely a positive.

We felt that the door bell camera and the other two external cameras were an intrusion and didn't settle with us at all due to us not being advised if these cameras were off or on during our stay ???. The lounge radiator sensor didn't work efficiently or effectively it seemed to have an electrical mind of its own and couldn't be set on a stable temperature. The Manhatten Freesat attached to the lounge TV didn't work, when on it would display the channel number without a picture or sound. We found the shower cubicle a bit on the small side for turning or bending, a shower slip mat would also be a good addition as the shower basin becomes slippery. As a side issue we felt that there wasn't enough information with regards to the overall equipment within the cottage.
