I wouldn’t stay again unfortunately.

The hot tub was nice and the location was peaceful. The lodge came with good facilities; dishwasher, fridge, and oven.

The lodge needed a more thorough and deeper clean. There were cigarette ends next to the hot tub, mould on the wall in the bedroom, cobwebs, mould to the bottom of the curtains in the living room and the window frames were unclean. Location of the lodge was also on a disused water park with derelict buildings.

We did have to leave due to the storm that was round when we were up. We will be booking again but next year in the summ

It was well laid out. We loved how the kitchen and the lounge area were all one space. We also loved the amount of natural light that we got through the large windows and glass door.

The fire exit door was a bit stiff to open.

Stayed two nights, exceeded expectations and would love to come back.

Spacious, comfortable beds, excellent facilities (nice having some essentials in the kitchen already and a coffee maker), hot tub was great.

Minor point but vould do with some table / small lamps in living room so don’t need to have overhead lights on.

Cozy and fun stay!

The lodge lived up to expectations—cozy and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen. The projector was a great extra touch, and the hot tub was the standout feature of the stay, comfortably fitting four adults!

The lodge could have been a bit cleaner, and the listing was somewhat misleading—it’s described as ‘All Inclusive,’ but that doesn’t cover any meals, which might be assumed. That said, it was an enjoyable stay overall, and I’d definitely consider returning! Adding some bathrobes would be a great touch, especially for using the hot tub.

Amazing lodge and beautiful scenery

I had the pleasure of dealing with Gary a few times over some requests and looking for recommendations and he was always very prompt to reply, polite and extremely helpful, the hot tub and projector were an amazing addition to the lodge and the scenery is beautiful, when Loch Oich is still it’s like a sheet of glass, the beds are comfy and there is everything you’ll need for your stay there (minus the bits you would normally bring with you) the lodge is dog friendly too which is a massive bonus for anyone wanting to take your dog/s with you, we stayed for 4 nights and really didn’t want to leave but due to work/school commitments, we were unable to stay for longer, the location is 30 minutes from Fort William and 15 minutes from Fort Augustus but there is a bus which stops about 5 minutes from the lodge, we spent most of the four days out doing bits so if you don’t mind a drive there is a lot to do but when we was taking some down time at the lodge we were extremely comfortable almost like being at home. I definitely recommend this place and we will be staying here again

We had really good time and try to come back!

Loved the location and the lodge itself. The projector and nicely equipped kitchen were a bonus. The hot tub was a great addition after the long hike!

The amount of chlorine added to hot tub. You could not enjoy it for longer than an hour and we all had a rush on our legs after each use.

Home from home facilities in beautiful location on Loch oiche

Gorgeous location, peaceful site which is very clean. The lodge had everything you need just need to take your food. Lovely welcome gift which was very thoughtful. Comfy beads and loads of towels. All amenities worked well. Hot tub was amazing !

You have to keep your dogs on lead walking through the site and we had to tether them to the lodge when using outdoor space as there is no enclosed boundary around the decking. So not secure for small children or wandering dogs.

Very enjoyable, cosy and clean

Bright Star Lodge was very clean and comfortable accommodation for our three night stay. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked even with things such as cooking oil, foil, salt and pepper etc which other similar lodges sometimes omit. Similarly the heating was very easy to use and efficient, in comparison to other places I have stayed. Location on the loch’s edge is beautiful, and it’s a great base for exploring the area. The hot tub and the projector were icing on the cake.

the neighbours were very helpful. the water front was lovely to see in the morning and the hot tub was the high light of my childrens holiday

when we came in the August i didnt realise about the mozies and i got attact by them but it wouldnt stop me from going back to the lodge

4 night stay in Bright Star lodge

Great place and we'll equipped. Beautiful location

Ran out of loo roll and bin bags during the week. Not a lot happening on site in April either. Bar not open etc

We had a good 4 day break & was a bonus that we could end our days before relaxing in the hot tub.

The lodge was fully equipped with everything you need & more. The beds were very comfortable & the hot tub was amazing. It was only a 10 min drive from the pretty little village of Fort Augustus.

The outside of the lodge was a bit tired & could have been done with a clean. The BBQ could have also been done with a clean. The view to the loch was restricted by a laundry building.
